It seems the Heavenly Dao is rushing out the God Conference Tribulation as of chapter 434. Probably as punishment for him interfering into the Emperor mortal life simulation or something.

But to sum up so far: * The MC wants to survive the God Roll Tribulation. * To survive the God Roll tribulation what matters the most is being a God in the Heavenly Courts before the Tribulation. * Both the Saint of the Ren school and Laziest Senior Brother decided to use him to improve things in exchange they teach him things and let him borrow powerful artifacts. He got the Dao of Alchemy from the Saint himself for example. * Besides being a God of the Heavenly Courts the two things that will help him the most are the Golden Body of Merit and a very powerful defensive artifact. * To gain merit he has to do great tasks the Heavenly Dao approves. * Even if he fully gets the Golden Body of Merit, he still has to get his teacher and junior sister on the Heavenly Courts to protect them. * Even if he does all that the number of people he wants to protect has grown and so that means more work. * As a member of Ren school he has to do things that favour the 3 Ren Sects or he risks losing the support of the Saint and borrowing the powerful artifacts. Does that explain things?

He is mostly scary to the rabbit because he knows that otherwise she would crush on him and be forced to marry her. It was sad to see his old master die but is not like he had much going on.
