the translation from defiring already catching up with the raw from syosetsu, but its been 3 months since last chapter update in the WN, so from this point on, it's depend on the author (and sadly the author is kinda on slump since the 5th arc) on a side note, the manga is gaining a decent popularity lately, if this keeping up, there's a high chance that even the LN would be continued as well.
chapter 118 was released in may-2021 chapter 119 was released in sep-2021 -- edit December 23, 2021 12:45 UTC -- although each chapter has a "harold moment" they are too short and has slow pacing. expecting some actions in 120. btw: 119 was released on the same day as the release of the 4th manga volume.
No, it clearly hasn't been dropped in favor of the LN. It's more of a budy schedule thing. I'll be posting chapter 119 this weekend and chapter 120 soon after. Will share some links at the end of the chapters to support the author and we'll see how that goes.

im confused as to how the author keep advertising the manga but keep the novel in hiatus... is he doing this on purpose trying to milk as many profits as possible, or did he just completely give up in trying? ..... i guess some questions will never be answered.
tbh I really can't blame the author either. So many below-par novels get so popular while good novels such as this remain underrated. If inly it had gotten as popular as the other LNs in Japan, we would have gotten a conclusion long time ago
not necessarily. berserk has its moment of fame, but ... anyway, chapter 121 was released almost a month ago (jul-19).
some of us are aware of that, but if you look at the gap (releases dates), the author felt like writing just for the sake of prolonging it, whats with him still active on twitter... I don't know how it is in japan, but this novel should already have died long time ago because of hiatus, and yet he's pulling moves like this just irritates me a whole lot. but then again if he is already gave up on it, i wont say anything more. it just disappoint me that i would never know the proper answer to this novel series.
Can you stop assuming things? First, the author posted before about having extreme and ongoing writer’s block. Secondly he has a full time job so he can’t just drop everything to write, the manga is just adapting material he already wrote so why wouldn’t he promote it? Lastly, it’s his personal twitter it’s not a crime to tweet about his daily life and it takes like two seconds to tweet something, it doesn’t take two seconds to write a whole chapter. You can be disappointed and irritated, that’s fine, but projecting and assuming the worst about the author isn’t fair to him; especially since we don’t even know anything about him or his real life personally.
