Which country do you think offers the most freedom to its citizens? Freedom can include any type of freedom you want (e.g. speech, religion, etc.), and can be judged by any criteria you want.

U IN THE A ANDD THE S.... USA!. USA!

When even a orangutan was elected as a president, I'd say their open mindedness is off the charts. Hats off really.

Only drawback is there is too much free speech with no guidance.

No doubt it is North Korea. No other country offers its citizens the ability to experience the joys of the medieval ages in the modern era. Their citizens are also free of the burden of the internet and the many different entertainment avenues around the world, instead opting to spend most of their time with their friends and loved ones. Combined with a healthy dose of suffering that deepens the bonds they share with each other, I can confidently say that North Korea has the most down to earth approach to life, exploring the root of what brings joy to our short and futile lives.

NOTE: Shoutout to the Amish, unfortunately they aren’t a country so they couldn’t enter the competition.

I'm not sure if you wanted a serious answer but here you go. According to 2020 research from the Human Freedom Index, New Zealand is the freest country in the world. Followed by Switzerland and Hong Kong. Though in general there is a strong relationship between economic freedom and personal freedom. That and democracy (though Hong Kong is an outlier).

Given New Zealand's low cost healthcare, high quality education, stable economy, low corruption, and low crime rates I'm willing to believe it.

It's as serious as you'd like, judged by whatever criteria you'd like and using whatever sources you'd like.

Brazil. The ability to show up naked at work without being arrested is quite frankly, very significant.

I’ve heard that Sweden has freedoms not really found as much elsewhere like robust maternity and paternity leave and the most equal pay among the genders. But after reading the comments, I do agree with @SilverCrow63 and remember hearing that New Zealand is the most free. I don’t particularly feel like changing my vote, though.

My concept of freedom is the ability to do what you want to do without repercussions from other people. Based on this conception the most free person would be a person all alone (maybe picture a guy alone on a deserted island, or mars?), but while this person would be the most free, this degree of freedom probably isn’t desirable to most people. Obviously people working together can lead to a better lifestyle, and even if that wasn't the case most people still want some degree of human interaction.

Then fishy was thinking what if you just cloned fishy so that you had a whole island filled with fishies. Then fishy could say whatever fishy wants without repercussions because all the other fishes agree, and fishy can do whatever fishy wants because all the other fishes want the same thing.

So then I was thinking maybe this also applies to non fishies. For example if you have a society where everyone believes in the same religion, then the people in that society who believe that religion probably feel pretty free, but if there is one guy who doesn’t believe in that society he probably doesn’t feel very free at all, and the reverse is also probably true. I’m guessing the one strongly religious guy in a society of atheists probably doesn’t feel that free.

Anyways fishy doesn’t have any good solutions for people not feeling repressed by their society. Maybe if everyone split up to be with people who agree with them on most things, but that would be really impractical. Instead it seems to be more popular to try to pressure dissidents into thinking like the majority does, or at least shutting up, and going along with it.

Luckily for fishy freedom can always be had in the deep blue sea with all the other fishes, well that is so long as fishy can avoid the nets, and hooks and all the bigger fishies.
