Discussion Show of hands - Who actually uses the toilet lid on their toilet?

I put the toilet lid down every time I flush to prevent water from splashing up onto the seat.

 

The toilet lid is a great place for me to put my foot as i'm drying off from the shower with a towel

 

Maybe after i've taken a historical shit and the scent lingers and i have to seal it in.

Ever since I watched an episode of Bones, where Dr. Brennan explained that by not covering your toilet when flushing sends shit particles all over the room, including on your toothbrush.

Religiously covered the toilet lid after that.

 

sometimes i take those hot baths in a cold nights or super cold nights once i'm done with the bath because water is expensive, we get that first wave of cold since the shower is off already but we still have that left over heat as well , so i sit on the lid to enjoy it, since sitting on it without it with my towel would just be bad, so i stay there for a while enjoying the left over heat in towel sitting on my lid before it goes away forever and the cold night prevail

Yeah of course. That would be disgusting if I left it open. Rather, my family secretly mocks and derideds guests who don't put down the toilet lid when they use our bathroom.

 

Dude, I keep my toothbrush and my towels in my room for that reason, because my father refuses to close the lid while flushing. Ew.

The lid stays down when flushing and not in use.

 

It is normal to put it down after you use it.

 

I haven’t had a toilet lid in years because I live in a shitty ass dorm.

However when I used to live with my siblings, sometimes one of my brothers would not flush after taking a deuce and then I would close it and hunt that bitch down and forcibly make him take responsibility to flush the damn thing as I publicly humiliate him in front of everyone else. Because I am a good younger sister

 

Unless it's smells bad, no lol. I don't see why a pool of water could offend anyone. I hate when there's a curved rim on it cause then I don't have back support for those special moments. #flattoiletseats
