Resolved A Regency Romance Title.

Any fans of English regency romance here? Please help out a desperate reader.
Hv been searching for over a week but hv only met with dead ends.

What little I remember of the plot:
Set in 19th century England or the whereabouts. ML is an Earl(?) working for the Crown. Masquerades as a highwayman intercepting carriages on a particular route in the hopes of nabbing a spy who is supposed to take that road sometime in that period (ML doesn't know the exact date). Things happen, and he is forced(?) to kidnap the FL who is the sister of a marquis. He is (perhaps, can't exactly recall) wounded and she tends to him. They fall in love, but he frees(?) the FL later and they part ways.

FL meets him later at a ball/party when he is in true (aristocratic) identity and recognizes him. Things happen again, and HEA.

was the FL perhaps a doctor? I remember reading one with victorian England, where the FL was a fairy doctor or something?

Nope, I know which novel you're speaking of, but it's not that one. The one I'm looking for is a physical novel written in English, not an Asian webnovel and it was certainly not a fantasy. Thanks for trying, tho.

 

Do you remember the author or part of the author name?

 

Unfortunately, I don't. I seem to recall she was a (relatively) well-known author for that genre, but that lil bit of info has not proved helpful thus far.

 

There are too much authors for that genre. If you remember the part of the story and characters name you can googled it.

I used to read Regency Romance books during my high school days but yeah, almost 10 years have passed so my memory quite a blur
