Lets see if there is a trend and possibly predict what you might be interested in next! Most of us know the old route Anime Manga The Gamer Legendary Moonlight Sculptor Royal Road Stellar Transformations Novel Updates ? Where did you go next? Personally I went into fanfiction and stayed there. I don't think fanfiction is the end or even the middle point, it could've been a starting point, I was just ignorant about it. If you've been on NU for years and are over 25, do you still read anything here or watch anime? To me it was a phase(23-27, 29 now), only fanfiction now and occasional original fantasy or sci-fi. Maybe you stayed here and combined it all? Maybe you went into reading serious normie books like crime or classics. Comics or Chinese/Korean TV shows? (Comics don't appeal to me now, as a kid I only had Alan Ford, Lazarus Ledd and Mickey Mouse lol, from what I remember Lazarus isn't exactly kid material) Additional note: Warhammer 40k fixit fics brought me into actually reading Warhammer 40k, I never played it and I was never into grimdark but Ravenor is suprisingly fun, with all the expectations of 40k I think it's a normal sci-fi adventure, not saying that universe is not grimdark, just the story. Btw where is our illustrious progenitor He-man? It'd be funny and cool if people could recognize him on th street and ask for an autograph xD
I went 1. Games 2. Manga 3. Coiling Dragon 4. Wuxiaworld 5. Novelupdates 6. Naruto fanfic (Sakura by Darkpetal16) 7. Scribblehub Remove 3, 4 and 6 and that's my daily life now. Everyday I await for chapter updates for mangas and novels. If no updates, I play games.
Anime-Manga-Manwha-Novel Updates. Never went to Royal Road cause the first couple novels I read were pretty bad. Now I am considering reading published novels.
Isn't Scribblehub a bad fanfiction site with some originals..pretty much same shit as webnovel.com? You should go to ff.net or spacebattles before you get more brain damage than a xianxia character, here's a list of recommendations https://www.fanfiction.net/u/9071421/ There are some pretty good ones on Royal Road : Mother of Learning, Super Minion, The Zombie Knight....and everyone recommends The Wandering Inn, Epic Loot, Practical Guide to Evil though I didn't really try reading those. Published novels can be slow to us used to fast food webnovels so keep that in mind if you find first chapter of whatever boring.
1.Games 2.Anime 3.Mushoku Tensei (manga) 4.Manga 5.Wattpad 6.Overgeared 7.NovelUpdates 8.Webnovel (fanfictions)

1. Anime, but only those on TV channels -> Digimon, Evangelion (who tf thought that it was safe to watch for kids? lol), Yu Yu Hakusho...etc 2. Got really into books, like reading at a pace of one every two or three days. -> Finished the entire school library -> Public libraries are garbage -> Realized that no one is gonna buy me books for free -> Noticed that you can read stuff online for free. 3. Got into Anime / Manga / WNs / LNs pretty much at the same time. 4. CN and KR novels. 5. Original western web novels. 6. Fanfiction. 7. In the process of scourging Library Genesis's entire collection of SciFi and Post-Apocalyptic books. Normal books seem so thin and brief now after combing through 200k fics lol
1 Novels SOL -> fantasy -> SF -> lots of fantasy and a bit of the all other genres 2 Manga -> manga on internet -> manga on an app + manhua 3 Webtoon and Wattpad 4 NU JAP -> KR -> CN and BG -> BL -> GL I now use the 4 steps, just not wattpad anymore.
1. Anime (The old stuff, mostly Shoujo cause' it's my sister who introduced me into it. Like Yamato Nadeshiko, Ranma 1/2, Special A, Fruits Basket, Shakugan No Shana, Spice Wolf, etc) 2. Books (My former elementary school didn't have a library so I was so excited with my first experience. I was also angry they won't let me borrow books from the high school section, but I snuck one anyways) 3. Manga 4. Webcomics, a whole lot of it. Property of hate, Ava's demon, Kill Six Billion Demons, that one cyberpunk webcomic i forgot, etc.. forgotten titles because I've read a LOT 5. Light Novel (Wanted to know the continuation of Overlord) also how I discovered Novelupdates 6. Webnovel 7. Manhua/Manhwa 8. Webtoon I'm still stuck in my webnovel phase though lol.
Stuck in a rut tbh. The fanfics I like aren't being updated frequently enough to sate my endless hunger. Can't bring myself to read manga/tranlsated fiction anylonger cause it's either been infected by that japanese ecchi trend where the entire plot is censored porn and the xianxia you have eyes but dont see mt. tai trope just got old. Anime is again icky now cause its pretty much fan service most of the time with pron plots having more depth than the new anime do. Essentially I aged out of most of the above mentioned phases in a some manner or the other. Here's to hoping I never grow out of my selfish self insert fanfiction phase.
Last time we talked, you were too busy for opening the fridge knowing you likely won't find anything but still hoping(search for new fics). That changed? https://forums.spacebattles.com/threads/omfg-im-the-chosen-one-star-wars-si.832577/ Just binged this one, it's very good. SI Anakin has the foreknowledge but only makes minor changes that actually make sense! I hate it when they stay low key with their foreknowledge usually. Reason being, Palpatine is basically unkillable and in a protected position, no one would believe a child, war needs to happen otherwise there is no change to stagnant Jedi order or the republic not prepared for Yuuzhan Vong. Yeah anime...I don't want to watch any of the new ones, I would like something old school. Speaking of, my mate linked me a trailer for Shaman King remake, not that that is particularly old school. Tempting to watch but I don't want to ruin my childhood.
So to reply in that order: The last time we talked was when the lockdown had just begun... life back then was a little complicated what with the switch from face to face classes to online classes, my internship and general drama occuring in my surroundings. I'm happy to state that most of thats been resolved and I'm back to being a jobless fuck. I did dip my toes in warhammer fanfiction but the stories didnt appeal to me. Too grimdark a setting and when the writter tries to chamge it it becomes blatant wishfulfillment. Also I've read and am up to date with the chosen one fanfic on spacebattles and pray to god that the writers muse doesnt suddenly die out only to leave me hanging on the edge of what seems to so far genuinely be a good fanfic.
The Weaver Option is epic and Imperium Ascendant is not bad... if you mean the likes of Emperor's daughter where she is all golden and stronger than primarchs...yeah that's bad. There is also one with a Rougue Trader uplifting Imperium Nihilus but seems to be abandoned. Hope you get a job soon.
