Love Poem Results The long-awaited results are here! A very gracious thank you to @Pyoo @Osamaru and @Bielt for being the guest judges! They themselves write wonderful poems, and I highly encourage you to check out their writing. There were four categories: theme, flow, power and clarity, with each judge giving a maximum possible 5 points per category. Without further ado, let's get to the results! In last place with 38 points, we have someone who submitted their poem blazing fast! I do appreciate the unique take on the theme though! As one judge put it, "Not so much as a love poem, as anti-love." Spoiler A Tragedy Love the shade of blues, oh how they had looked so beautiful pirouetting in the dark, oh how could the skies go beyond me. my innocence stripped away, a way so helplessly and forcefully without any reason. you had shattered my heart, what's it up with doing yours? you had torn away myself, what's it to return? it's always such an unfair case but what is there to do? Spoiler Congratulations Anonymous! In 15th place with 39 points, we have a rather cute take on the "Roses is red" poem. As one judge put it, "This one's a little strange, but it DOES fit!" Spoiler Sharingan is red, Rasengan is blue, The sunlight is warm, And so are you. Killua is white, Godspeed is rare, The world is beautiful, And so is your hair. Eren grows, Antagonist he becomes, Your name is pretty, And so are your words. Protagonists reach, Up to the skies, Rimuru is kind, And so are your eyes. Madara in mountains, Peace strategy compiles, A fellow is nice, And so are your arms Asuna is pretty, Zoro has style, My heart is warm, And so is your smile. The moon is beautiful, Just like you are. Spoiler Congratulations Anonymous ! In 14th place with 40 points, we have someone who seems to rather like rhymes! What a sweet, cute poem! Spoiler There is a girl I called as a sweetie, Could I have her as my patootie? When I asked for her time, I feel like I'm in my prime. It was then I've lost my senses, Because I saw her beautiful irises. If I had to word it into a tone, Nothing could describe it alone. Roses are red, But Violets aren't blue. With just one simple look, I think I fell for you. Spoiler Congratulations Anonymous ! In 13th place with 40.5 points, we have a poem with some pretty clever word play. One judge especially liked the second-to-last line! In 12th place with 41 points, we have what feels like a classic love poem. In 11th place with 41.5 points, we have a poem with some lovely use of metaphors. Spoiler The eyes deep like the Ocean, Blue like the sky on summer night Gaze at me with burning emotion That makes my heart go wild. In 10th place with 42 points, we have a poem something incredibly sweet, and it just makes me go "awwww" Spoiler My love for you will never change Maybe tomorrow won't be great. Maybe our lives won't bring us rainbow every day Maybe, to be with each other we will have to face many obstacles on our way. But amidst all the hardships I promise you that There won't be maybes when it is about showing you my loyalty, my respect, and my devotion. There won't be maybes when it is about making you feel loved and happy. I will do my best. I mean it truly. There won't be maybes when it's about listening to your rants, taking care of you, being there for you, and growing old with you. Spoiler Gaze beyond the tales of glory, Your eyes tell another story, Hidden deep within Wonders beyond the beauty of your skin... Hazel brown and sparkling, To your eyes I can only cling, As I see the playfulness they bring I can only hope, that it was more than a fling? Your beauty of a voice, I cannot help to rejoice, Singing as you speak... Compared to you, all others seem to squeak! Your laughter speaks of sorrow, Suffered before the morrow. Oh what i would have given To see that pain relive-n! Backwards through days I walk, At the sight of weeks i balk, The number of months gives me a shock! Why did... we never... talk...? Mistakes were made, As memories fade Forgotten they lay, Yet adoration, does stay. Through life, this second meeting, I pray to myself, that it is not as fleeting We tasted the feel of loss, And am not willing, to over it gloss! Tied for 7th place with 43 points, we have another one of those classic love poems. Very heartwarming. One judge thought it might work better in prose. Spoiler Your love reach to every niche and nook of my heart Then, our love bloomed in leaps and bounds "Where do you hide this much love?" I asked you one day, You just smiled But that smile said a lot I’m proud about you, me and our love My heart is beating, Only for you… My smile is always, Searching for you So, I’m eagerly waiting for The greatest and the happiest moment Can you imagine? The magical time, blessings Greetings, smile and so on… How wonderful! Everything of mine is Waiting for you… To tell you that in front of everyone “Yes, I do.” Spoiler Congratulations Anonymous! Tied for 7th, we also have this short poem that certainly packs a punch. As one judge put it, "Short and Sweet that makes you think. A good example of why a poem doesn't need to be very long to strong." Spoiler We danced slow, At someone else’s wedding. In a long summer night, Under the dying embers. In 6th place with 44.5 points, we have something that surely resonates with a lot of the participants. As one judge put it, "It feels from the heart and I love it, I definitely got what you're expressing, good job." Spoiler Little Poem I know it is cheesy, But it is true. Those beautiful eyes of yours, Reflects the world shining bright and blue. You might ask, "why not some other colour?" It's because Trust and Stability is usually represented by blue. Those characters are which I happen to notice in you, And also blue happens to be my favourite and dearest hue. You told me you weren't disappointed, And said our relationship was just fine. But let me tell you something real quick, About how I would love to call you mine. Writing poems are a little hard for me, As I am usually a little dumb and crazy. But as soon I met you, I realised Writing something for you is just that easy. On this beautiful event made by the Nuf staffs, This valentine's was just a little bit more special to me. In 5th place with 46.5 points, we have a very interesting poem that seems to tell a story. She's never ready, Her words all ceased. And yet who knew, His love is always true, His hands would always quake, Before her lovely wake. When he nears her, His eyes spoke all the things. But she didn't see that smile Nor the adorned spring. Woe to the lover and his beloved, Their threads intertwined red, 'tis fated. As one judge put it, "I love showcasing insecurity in poetry, good idea and good execution." Spoiler Love Letter When we met, I knew that unconditional love was a fantasy: A fairytale that didn't exist. That the only ones who would always love me, Were inanimate objects that couldn't argue back. But day by day, Slowly, You've led me to think, "Maybe I was wrong." You've taught me That it's okay to be me. You've taught me That I'm not as good a person I thought I was— In some ways I'm better. I am so insecure, Always wondering if I'm about to turn you away. But you told me, Point blank, That I could never do anything wrong in your eyes. That meant the world to me. When I'm with you, Life truly does become rose-tinted. Please stay with me.
