    I'm looking for cultivation novels or similar without this Asian revenge fetish.
    Like 9/10 Asian cultivation novels start with the MC being betrayed, getting beat up, having his mother/sister killed or similar, and every single one of them has the MCs only reason for getting stronger being to get revenge or prevent it from happening again.

    No yaoi, yuri, shounen/shoujo ai please.

    Not entirely true. Revenge or separation actually shows up quite a bit in IET novels. It's just never overbearingly the main theme.
