Continuing a bit after chapter 23 of novel

Spoiler: MC finding bday gift for Lara

She asked Lykan for help to find a gift for Lara and she wanted to get something light blue since that's Lara's favorite color. Lykan bought her a white scarf and MC wonder why since they were shopping for Lara and also she doesn't think she look good in white unlike Lara.

She also spent some time with Siebel when picking up the gift and he asked her what she wanted though she said it's for Lara.

Spoiler: During Lara's bday

The group of female friends decided to race to the top of the clock tower as a game. Marilyn remembered in the og novel, Lara and Siebel met at the top of the clock tower on her birthday to see the fireworks. She think that since now they're not in a relationship like in the og novel, Siebel might not be there, but he was there waiting for her. They watched the fireworks together. She left him ask her 3 questions.
1. favorite color (white or yellow because of Lara) and he asked her if she plans to change her favorite colors to silver blue or turquoise
2. favorite animal (small animals)
3. her bday (she wasn't sure what to answer for this but as she was about to give him Marilyn's bday, he told her she can't lie, and she eventually told him, her "real birthday" from her previous world (tomorrow)

Spoiler: next day

Marilyn got a bunch of gifts delivered to her. She knew it was from Siebel since he's the only person she ever told in this world her real birthday. She went looking for him to thank him since she didn't want to feel indebt. She wasn't able to find him though. She even went to a haunted house to find him since someone mentioned he was there. She didn't find him though but met someone else.

Spoiler: group date/gathering

One of their friends, Esco, set up a group date for the 3 of them with other 3 guys and Marilyn was invited. Marilyn went and met the same guy she met at the haunted house. Lara got upset when she found out since she wanted Marilyn to marry her brother, Lykan. She went to grab her brother to disturb the group date. Lykan said Marilyn have the freedom to choose who she wants to be with but he is curious what kind of guys she will be hanging out with. So they went to disturb the date. Marilyn ended being in the center of the 2 siblings being spoiled by them (which she find odd since usually her and Lykan would fight to spoil Lara).

Spoiler: heading back to school

She didn't see Siebel but saw the guy she met before, Chris. He asked her for a date and she agreed after he kept asking her many times.

Chris set up a date plan for them. She find his interest and love for her burdensome though. When they head back, they bumped into Siebel. Siebel wasn't pleased. Chris didn't want the date to end yet but Marilyn doesn't want Chris to get hurt by Siebel so when he wanted to kiss the back of her hand, she reject his confession right then and there. Chris went away upset calling her a cruel person. At that time, Siebel was going to rush to grab his head.

Siebel noticed she was trying to protect Chris from him and she asked him how he knows she was meeting someone. He asked her if that's important and she said it is since it was an appointment for her. He responded he might have to kill 4 people instead of 1 then. Siebel doesn't get what the big deal is with dating but even so he's not happy. He asked if she would've dated him if he asked her but she was going to refuse anyway. He told her that she smile too much. Marilyn remember that line form og novel. He asked if they can hold hands so he can check on something. She reached out her hand allowing him. She asked him how long he plans to do this. He said he is still checking and he asked her if he can kiss her to check further. She told him why he even ask when he knows she will say no.

Marilyn told him she doesn't like scary people. She called him ominous. She think he's scary always trying to kill people so she told him not to kill anyone. They agreed to be real friends unlike from the beginning when they met and she pretended to be friends with him. She made him promise not to hurt anyone, if he's angry with her to tell her and not to release the anger on others, and if he's hurt from her, also to tell her (because she made a comment saying he's ominous and he got hurt from her comment).

As an apology for hurting his feelings, she asked what he wanted and he asked for a hug. They hugged. She thanked him for the bday gifts. She asked for his bday so she can repay him. She tried to let go of the hug so he can answer but he just kept hugging her for a long time.

Spoiler: next day at class

Siebel kept staring at her and she felt awkward trying to pretend she doesn't know him but then he got up from his seat and approached her. He then asked her if she head back to the dorm last night. She asked him what about last night. He told her last night after they hugged, she ran off. Marilyn tried to stop him from speaking further but everyone in the class already heard. Everyone being curious about their relationship now. She whispered to him why he's being like this. He smiled and responded that the more she play around with other guys, the more he'll feel hurt. She told him she already repaid him back with the hug. He said that wasn't enough. Marilyn flustered as Siebel smiled brightly.

Spoiler: classmates reaction

Her 4 close friends, Violet, Emily, Natalie and Lara were upset with her for keeping her relationship a secret. Siebel's fan club were upset their idol, Siebel, is dating someone.

Spoiler: more promises and deals

Marilyn made a deal with Siebel to keep their friendship a secret so they can continue to be strangers in school. She told him to also deal with his fan clubs and in exchange she'll be nicer to him. She kept pulling his mouth like a kid and find it cute. When he agreed, she pat him on his head. He look annoyed with her but didn't move away from her touch.

Later on she realized it's a month away from vacation when they're back in class. She then remember the promise was only within the academy. Siebel looked at her and smiled already knowing that beforehand.

They met again at the clock tower. It had became their meeting place. She started to chide him since she found out he only agreed because he knew it was close to vacation, but she didn't know the date. He decided to set a negotiation this time. He'll stop his fan club if she agree to spend the vacation at his place. She made an excuse that her parents won't let her so he said he'll go see her then and then she comment his parents might not like it but he won't hear of it and decided he will go see her.

Now she's worrying what Lara and Lycan and their neighbors will think when Siebel come see her.

Spoiler: Emily at training grounds

Emily was at the training grounds going against the knights in training. Marilyn rushed over to see what was going on. Her and her friends see Emily going against a bunch of trainees. Emily got hurt and Marilyn got upset. She ran over to help Emily. Lykan came and rebuked the trainees for all going against someone who didn't even have training. Lykan told Emily she shouldn't have demean the trainees. He told her to go do something about her brother Esco since he was crying over seeing Emily fighting.

Emily sadly commented she only wanted to train. But then she got distracted by her grumbling stomach.

Spoiler: at the girls dorm

Natalie is reading a smut novel out loud. Violet got interested in it. Emily said it's gross and they should stop reading it since it's something like Esco would do. Marilyn asked did Esco read that novel and Emily said no. Natalie continue tor read it out loud and they all started screaming at each other. Dorm head started banging on their door telling them to open up since she knows they're not asleep. They tried to quickly hide the book and then open the door. The dorm head decided to search their room. Violet made up some excuse but the dorm head found the book and started reading it to see. She look interested while reading and then she made some excuse she will have to confiscate the book and decide what to do with them tomorrow. Violet got worried she might get expelled. The girls start to blame each other. Natalie rebuked Marilyn for blaming her saying it was Marilyn who wanted to read it in the first place anyway.

Spoiler: punishment

They got lectured by the professor the next day and their punishment is to clean different floor female restrooms, but Marilyn got assigned to clean the chairman's office. Marilyn felt weird since the chairman is the father of Sear.

After cleaning for 3 days, one day Marilyn bumped into Lykan when she was about to change the water. She tried to tell Lykan she didn't led Lara the "wrong path" and he said he never even though of that. He only commented that she had grown. She found his comment weird and tried to dissuade the conversation. He then tried to help her carry the map and water. She told him she's going to the female restroom and if he's following her there. He said the men's restroom is right next to the female's restroom so he can help her there. They started to talk about Emily. Lykan said he had a talk with the teachers about allowing Emily to become a trainee, but he told her to keep it a secret for now, since it's still in the process of deciding.

She bumped into Chris on the way back in front of the chairman's office. He tried to talk to her and she doesn't want to. She felt like he's being some creepy ex boyfriend who she never even dated. He said all he wanted is to serenade to her. So she told him she'll listen to him sing and that's it. He sang for her. But her reaction remained cold. Chris left calling her a cold woman.

The chairman showed up upset that she touched his picture frame that she was trying to fix when it fell. Sear also showed up asking why she's there. She told him she was cleaning.

I binged up to ending last night and it gets more plot heavy but still fluffy. You'll start to feel very bad for ML for his past.

Also the chairman had always been sus from the get go. Marilyn didn't like being around the chairman .

Spoiler: meeting up with ML

Even with her cleaning punishment, she had to continue to meet up with Seibel secretly since she's trying to tame him to become a good person. She decided she can't neglect him and treat him with care so he won't be bad just cause she's busy with cleaning.

When she got there they were both laughing and smiling falsely at each other and she asked if he waited long. She excused herself for having to clean and then he brought up the smut novel. She got embarrassed screaming back she can't hear him. Siebel then asked if she's cleaning the chairman's office and asked what her impression was from first meeting. She said it was uncomfortable and a bit frightening. Siebel agreed that she is right to feel that way and warned her not to get too close to the chairman since he has a bad personality. Marilyn find that comment ironic since Siebel's personality is bad too. Even so he said she shouldn't need to worry too much since the chairman only shows up during special events. He then teased her to continue to work hard with cleaning while calling her lewd.

Spoiler: Start of something sus

Back at class while she was talking with friends, Marilyn got called on to see the chairman. She told Lara to grab her bag for her after class to which Lara agreed. As she got up to leave, she made eye contact with Siebel, but neither said anything since they pretend not to know each other well.

Chairman accused her for stealing something from his office since she was the one cleaning his office and also she touched his photo frame before. Her homeroom teacher tried to defend her. The chairman then threatened the teacher asking since he had taught so long, did he thought he can overstep the chairman now. The teacher back down. Marilyn wasn't even sure what got stolen so she kept questioning how the chairman could even think she stole something she doesn't know got lost. The chairman said it was a bell. Marilyn found that absurd and asked again cause a bell is so cheap so why would she even steal something like that. She questioned the chairman why she would even steal something like that when she don't even know the value of it. She warned him that she can tell the press about his accusation. He threatened he will expel her. She decided to find the bell for him so she won't get expelled. He gave her until vacation starts.

Right after that, she ran to meet Siebel and asked him who stole the bell. Siebel asked her why she's even asking him and she said because it seem like he always know everything. Though he's glad she came to him for help. She may have wanted his help but didn't want to cry for it since in the og novel, that's what he wanted from Lara, for Lara to find dependency on him. When Siebel told her he's glad she came to him for help, she refuted him saying she doesn't need it and she'll go figure it out herself. He still gave her a hint, people she met in front of the office.

Spoiler: who stole the bell?

Marilyn decided to ask her friends for help. She told them about her expulsion. Natalie and Emily got really heated. They all wanted to help her. Violet thinks Sear is the culprit. They decided to spread out to monitor on Sear. Marilyn wanted to grab his bag to check. When she tried to check his bag while Sear was napping in the library, she felt something cold inside thinking it's the bell. Sear woke up from his nap and started to question her and she excused herself saying she got confused with her own bag since they look similar.

She was about to tell her friends when they told her they found the culprit. They said they were able to steal Chris's bag and check and saw the bell roll out of his bag. Marilyn think it's odd since she doesn't think Chris is someone who would steal something. She decided to confront and ask Sear upfront instead if he stole the bell. He told her she will still get expelled. She asked him why he would steal something like this. He said cause he got deceived by his father that it was something valuable. Marilyn got mad saying that the reason she was getting expelled was his fault anyway. She got upset and hit him saying Chris got framed for no reason. She tried to persuade him for a long time to confess.

Marilyn went to find Chris so she can clear his name before he gets expelled. The chairman got upset when Marilyn told him she found the real culprit. He said that there's only one bell so he'll be the judge to see which one is the fake bell. Marilyn apologized that such a thing had happened to the chairman but she said the chairman should also apologize to her and Chris. He said she didn't even tell him the real culprit. Marilyn said he wouldn't like to hear the answer, but she gave it anyway. The chairman then made up some excuse that he gave another bell to Sear. Sear showed up and confessed to stealing it.

Rumors spread across the academy about the whole event. Chris fell more in love with Marilyn because she came to defend him and he found her, pretty, cute and cool all at the same time.

Marilyn and Lara were reading the news on the case. Marilyn questioned Sear why he stole the bell to which Sear said because his father had said something and he got curious if he can control Siebel. Marilyn asked 'control?' and he refused to answer. He told her the second reason was because of her. She was close to Siebel so he wanted to cause the situation to see if Siebel would go out for her or not. He also admit that the reason the whole situation was cleared up because of Siebel so Siebel had fixed it in the background without telling her anything. She wasn't sure how he even came out to help her and then realize it was Chris. Siebel was the reason Chris got framed.

Spoiler: confrontation with ML

She questioned him why he did it that to the "gatekeeper oppa" (because he was the gatekeeper at the haunted house so she had been calling him that the whole time and not his name). Siebel asked if she meant Chris Actra and she asked if she remembered his name. Siebel said it made sense to remember since it's such a horrible name. In her head she think he doesn't have the right to say anything since his name is also weird. She questioned him once again why he did that and he said it seemed like she care about him a lot. She asked if he was angry with her and to just say what he's mad about. He said he wasn't mad at her but because Chris bothered him. She got upset that his actions also cause issue for other people. He said there was something he wanted to get rid of but he also did it for her. He wanted her to come to him for help, but she never ask for his help even when he waited, so in the end he helped her in his own way.

Marilyn questioned him how he knows the whole situation. He said he can see everything from sitting there. She told him not to lie to her and then comment it seemed like he have the ability to watch a person from a distance just from touching... Siebel's falsely smiling face stop smiling and he went expressionless. He asked her what she thought of such an ability. She tried to question him further. He asked her if she finds him scary or creepy. He admit he watched her daily routine often. Then she asked if he had also seen her change, bath or using the toilet.... Siebel told her to hold that thought since he had kept to some line and she yelled at him that he already crossed the line from stalking. He admit he really didn't see those. She made fun of him that he's the pervert when the whole time he had been making fun of her. Siebel laughed at her teasing him, but then she grabbed his hand and he stared at her face. Then she told him their relationship is over. She doesn't want to be his friend anymore. She told him if there's anything he wanted to do, to do it now. He said it won't end well for either of them so he won't do it. It was the first time she said him with an expression as if the world had collapsed even when she never told him she find him creepy, scary or disgusting.

She let go of his hand and stepped back. She already know from the og novel what he was like but she only approached him because she didn't really know his ability, but now she doesn't want to be close with him because he hid his ability from her. She cancelled the promise for allowing him to stay at her place during vacation. Also since she will pretend not to know him for a while she told him in advance to enjoy his vacation. Marilyn leaves. He called out to her and tried to chase her to wait. She warned him that if he forcibly holds her now, she will take that as a form of imprisonment. He stopped following her.

Spoiler: vacation

Since then, all he did in class was stare aggressively at her to the point her friends asked her what was going on. Vacation is approaching close. Once vacation is starting and as the students were all prepping and leaving, Siebel started to try to talk to Lara to get close with Marilyn. Lara couldn't see through his guise and thought Siebel was being a friend. When Marilyn and Siebel talk in public they were all with fake laughs and smiles. Lara said their laughs at each other sounded like curses.

Lycan helped them Lara and Marilyn. He stroked both their head. When Lycan helped Marilyn onto the carriage, she felt as though their relationship have been changing. He told her before he had thought it was natural she should endure suffering for his sister but now he doesn't want to see her suffer either. Marilyn said she's fine and she doesn't think she's even suffering rn. Also she does it because she likes Lara. He laughed and muttered about being envious of his sister.

Back at home, Marilyn was treated cruelly by the other villagers as usual. Lara wasn't happy when they compliment her and insult Marilyn, but Marilyn didn't care. A carriage came to their village one day and Marilyn thought it would be Siebel but it was Violet who came to visit her. Violet started writing. She wanted to become an author after reading that smut novel. They decided to write letters to Emily and Natalie too. Lycan would sometimes tell them to sleep earlier.

On the 2nd day of Violet's visit, the villagers start to get noisy. Marilyn had to run some errands and Lycan ended up going with her. She felt awkward but doesn't think it's that bad. They talked about how the villagers are prepping for the visit of some big name person. Violet is curious who he might be. Lara wasn't that interested.

Recently Lycan would help her and Marilyn felt burdened since she doesn't think she can accept his feelings, and it'll be awkward for her to date a friend's brother since what would happen if they break up. Marilyn told her not to make any effort and he said he will try. Marilyn tried to avoid any situation where Lycan might be able to confess to her. And even so, she kept thinking of Siebel. She's scare what might happen if she was to accept Lycan's feelings. Lycan only told her he's not looking for her answer now. She got worried thinking he will try to kiss her and she then try to dissuade the conversation about the groceries. Lycan then asked to help her carry them and she made some joke that it seemed the knight trainee is enthusiastic to practice. He responded besides carrying things for his family, she's the only one. They eventually returned home with an awkward atmosphere.

Violet wanted to stay to see the big shot visitor. Marilyn bumped into some boy who called her ugly and told her she should appreciate that Lara is nice even to play with her. Lara came telling him that she doesn't like his praise and yelled at him to stop. She kept screaming back at him that Marilyn is pretty. Marilyn told Lara she is okay and she's not hurt. Violet confronted the boy. He told her that he was just joking around. Violet said it didn't seem like a joke since no one laughed at it and lectured him that he shouldn't use the excuse everything as a joke and playing around since it won't be tolerated all the time. She began to worry about Lara. Marilyn tried to calm Lara down.

With everyone busy for the big shot's visit, Marilyn began to dislike the dignitary visitor who is causing everyone to waste money and time on his visit. Lycan overheard what happened with the boy and came to check on what happened. He asked what happened and Lara explained what the boy said. Lycan then said she's not ugly. Marilyn felt weird that both siblings have the same attitude towards her. The boy then made some excuse saying but that doesn't mean he's saying Marilyn is pretty and Lycan flipped and tried to hurt him saying he need to help him fix his eyesight.

Spoiler: vacation (dance)

At the event of the banquet, they're holding a masquerade for the big shot's visit. They chose a rabbit mask for Lara because she's cute. Violet wanted to go with a tiger mask but they forced a sparrow mask on her and Marilyn chose a cat mask because that was the only good mask leftover. She wasn't able to see the visitor's face because of his monster mask but his silver blue hair reminded her of Siebel. Also from his outfit, he looked to be a young person.

Marilyn danced with Lycan and he asked how she knew it was him and she asked if he knew it was her. She can tell from his blond hair. Marilyn wondered what made him decide to dance and he said because he had thought she would dance so he only joined because of her. Marilyn think he would be a good lover and husband if he ever date or marry. Lycan then told her he have something to tell her. He said she's not ugly but pretty.

The music ended and they switched up partners. When she turned her head, the visitor bowed his head to her for a dance. The hair kept reminding her of Siebel. She tried to have small talk with him asking if he will make the village his territory. He never respond to her even when she kept asking questions. She kept seeing Siebel in their interactions, with his rude personality, yet still caring for her. When the music ended and she tried to move on to next partner, her body got pulled by him, leading her to their next dance. The people around them were surprised. She then called his name as he kept leading her. He still doesn't answer her. She then called his whole name and told him to remove his mask. She tried to remove his mask herself but he held her hand stopping her and then they got closer and their masks' lips touched, and she could see his eyes.

He told her she shouldn't have tried to break their relationship because it made him realize something. It made him realized, he wanted to hold hands with her, kiss her and have romance with her. Even so, Marilyn was mad because he went to see her after she told him not to come. She asked if he enjoyed pretending to be a dignitary person, making everyone suffer for his visit just so he can see her. She told him he's a student and he told her it's narrowminded to think a student wouldn't have a title or money. She told him, they're his family's title and money not him. He told her his parents had long passed away. She felt awkward. She tried to switch up the conversation and asked if he intended to make the village his territory. He told her it depends on what she does. Marilyn noticed others might see them and think he's harassing her so she wrapped her arms around his shoulder pretending to be close to protect him. She told him his monster mask really fits him and he laughed thanking the 'cat lady' for the compliment. He asked her if they should move from their public location to talk in private. He took her hand and led her away.

He removed the mask fully and threw it to the ground. He asked why she would be mad if he made the village his territory. She said it's because he's using that to put pressure on her, forcing her to be by his side. Siebel tried to remove her mask and she avoided his gloved hands. She tried to kneel down to him and he realized what she was trying to do and got upset. She think that's pretty much what he wanted from her. He never told her to kneel down to him but she to her it's the same. He's using his power and money to make her succumb to him. He felt offended and hurt from how she thought thinking she's distorting his actions. He kept yelling her not to kneel to him but she wouldn't listen so he reached out to her and tried to grab her up but then his white gloves turn black as though they were rotting.

Siebel's bare hand was revealed showing revealing it's black skin. Marilyn got worried and tried to grab his hand. Siebel refused. He told her not to think too much of it while laughing. She got upset saying how he could joke around right now. He said if she would rather remove her mask than his gloves right now since he wanted to see her pretty face too. She then realized he must've heard that from Lycan. He told her not to worry since he won't do anything to him. He took something out and handed it to her. It was the bell, the bell the chairman had been looking for. She realized Siebel had long stolen the bell already from before. She asked him why he's giving it to her and he said if he does anything she hates, she can just ring the bell. Marilyn doesn't approve of that method since it seem like he's being treated as a dog. She kept questioning him but he didn't answer and said even till the end he can't see her pretty face. Marilyn called out to him as he left thinking she would've shown him even if she was angry.

Lara came and ask Marilyn about the guest. That night she wanted to sleep alone to think for herself. Lara was sad but she agreed. Marilyn was worried about the pain Siebel seemed to be having and the rotting hand. Lara recalled when boys insulted Marilyn and complimented Lara some more. She recalled the day Marilyn fell down and woken up different. She wondered if Marilyn hates her now but she doesn't want to ask in fear of the answer. But Marilyn sleeping alone just kept thinking about Siebel. She then heard Lara crying downstairs and got worried that someone is making her Lara cry so she rushed downstairs. She overheard Lara and Violet talking. Marilyn knew og Marilyn may have hated Lara a bit but that doesn't mean she does. She told Lara she can't hate her. She told Lara she doesn't even care about being compared anymore because people can change. Lara got happy and they hugged. She thanked Marilyn for not hating her. Violet joked when their wedding is going to be. Marilyn ended up sleeping with her friends.

Violet went back home. Before she left, she gifted Lara a famous smut novel and thanked her for supporting her dreams. Another visitor came one day in a fancy carriage. Marilyn was hoping it'll be Siebel but someone else came out with invitation to Marilyn from the chairman. She didn't want to go but decided she will since she might be able to see Siebel. This time she will go and see him. Of course, she didn't accept the invitation without taking anything in return. She tried to make it difficult for the chairman by requesting him to pay for her clothes and what not. She was also able to get the chairman to allow Lara to go with her. The other villagers thought the invitation was actually for Lara since they didn't think Marilyn would get invited by some big shot to anywhere. They think Marilyn only got to go because she's friends with Lara. Her parents found out what the invitation was for ("apology") and about the incident when he accused their daughter. They got mad and told Marilyn she can reject it. She said she wanted to go and besides Lara will be with her so it should be fine.

Spoiler: vacation (Lycan's apology)

Lycan apologized for how he treated her when they were young. She thought he was going to confess to her. She knew og Marilyn would've accepted his apology easily but she wouldn't. She can't even accept the apology since it's og Marilyn he should be sorry for. Lycan decided it'll be a punishment for him. She just told him to think as he likes. He said he's glad she at least didn't tell him not to like her though. He told her how he originally wasn't interested in her but after she hurt her head, he hated her at that point but couldn't stop looking. His friend was the one who told him that the next step to worrying about someone all the time, would be love. Before he knew it, he realized his feelings had gotten bigger. Marilyn apologized to him saying she had already been forced to board the 'route' (like in otome game). She know she doesn't love Siebel yet but she can tell it meant there's someone she is thinking of, someone with turquoise eyes. Lycan said that answer is enough since he didn't want to hear more. He told her to be careful and took her home saying the night is dangerous.

By now it's passed halfway through the main story (chapter 56).

Continuing from their vacation...

Spoiler: vacation (capital)

Marilyn and Lara arrived to the capital to shop. Natalie visited them at their hotel. She wondered why Marilyn agreed to go when the chairman spelled trouble. Marilyn think in her head she's going to see Siebel's face. She was angry with him. Natalie thinks it looked like a broken hearted face. Marilyn tried to deny her feelings for him in her head. They dressed for the invitation.

At the chairman's manor, Marilyn ended up eating a lot. She then accidentally stepped on Sear's foot. He asked her why she came. She said his father invited her and she have to meet someone. He asked if it's Siebel to which she agreed. Marilyn called Siebel a friend which he mocked. Marilyn knows Sear hates Siebel but she's not sure why Siebel hates Sear when Sear usually doesn't do anything. Sear told her about their relationship from before. They weren't bad before until he realize Siebel's true color and also his skin disease is getting worse. He would wore long sleeves even in the summer to cover it up. The skin disease would sometimes get better and sometimes worse. They would play when he have good days. Then one day Siebel's parents mysteriously died and Siebel inherited the title and territories. And apparently Siebel knows his darkest secret how his mother died from suicide while missing another man. Sear was a child his mother didn't even want and Siebel brought it up one day. Sear got offended that Siebel knows his secret. Siebel started to use Sear's secret against him more and more.

Sear asked Marilyn if she's scare of Siebel now. She responded instead she's more apologetic towards Sear. Sear finds Marilyn a weird person. She talks a lot and get comfortable and it feels comfortable to be around her. They agreed to being friends. The chairman showed up with reporters to try to make himself look good with Marilyn in front of the press for the bad news he had before. She asked him where's Siebel and he just answered somewhere in the manor. Seer told her, he's probably in one of the private rooms upstairs. He pushed her off to find him herself.

She head upstairs without the chairman's permission. The chairman then came upstairs and she tried to hide. A door opened nearby and someone with white gloves pulled her in by the arm. She got surprised wondering who it was and then she noticed it's Siebel. The room is too dark though for her to see. He told her to go back. She said she came to show him how pretty she is though the room is too dark for him to see. He paused for a while then wonder if that's really true, but still told her to go back in the end. Marilyn finally decide to leave due to her pride and when she turned the doorknob, he told her even in the dark he can see everything and said she is pretty. When the door opened the light from the hallway lit up revealing Siebel's covered up body and face with black splotches. He told her lightly that it's too bad his face is in bad condition right now and joked it would've been nice if they could dance together.

Marilyn asked about his skin condition. He said these days the cycle have been shortened. He also commented how Marilyn became friends with Sear when he wasn't there. She then remembered he can see everything when he touched her. He mentioned that being friends with her is so easy since she just easily calls anyone her friend even with himself. She told him to go to bed and rest and she will get some water to help wipe him. He told her to stop pretending that she's not scared of him. She said she'll try not to touch his skin. When she helped him, she asked when it started. He told her it started from birth. She admit that even though she was angry with him, she doesn't hate him. She thought she did hate him at first though, and then recall her conversation with Lycan how he also hated her and then it turned to love. Siebel asked why she's red. She never answered and that was the last they spoke since then.

Marilyn contemplated whether she loves him or not. She asked her friends how they know what love is. Natalie relate it to romance novels.

Spoiler: Back to academy (first kiss)

Once vacation is over and they're back to the academy, all 4 friends met up and hugged. The professors had agreed to allow Emily to become a knight trainee. It's the first time a female can be trained as a knight. It's a good opportunity for her since the knight position guaranteed honor and wealth. Siebel showed up back to school from the distance surrounded by students. Marilyn and Siebel made eye contact and she think his usual fake smile look more curved. But he walked away continuing to pretend not to know each other. She wasn't sure why she got annoyed with it this time since they had agreed to it from before.

She asked her friends for advice how does one know whether they like a person or not. They asked if she is in an unrequited love. She denied it strongly and pretend it's someone she knows.

Marilyn was able to find time to visit Siebel. Marilyn asked him for a request. He told her that's unexpected and asked her who she wants him to kill. She said it's not like that and he asked what request then. She told him to give her a strong kiss. Siebels eyes trembled and he answered 'what' in surprise. She said it should be find since they're just going to rub their lips a bit and won't use their hands so they don't have to hold hands. Apparently Natalie's advice was if she felt the kiss is unpleasant then that means she doesn't like him, so she wanted to test that out. Siebel refused since he thinks she's just someone who can rub lips with a friend. He muttered to himself wondering what other man had rubbed their lips with her. She told him it's not like that and to put his dark aura away. She told him to just lower his head a bit since this is something important for her. He told her to do it later if she is trying to say weird things. But then dust got in her eye and he told her to open her eyes so he can check. When he got closer to check, she grabbed him by his cheeks and rushed in to kiss him. She thought her heart would beat and everything but nothing happened. And honestly she didn't enjoy it. She thanked him for his time and when she turned around to leave, he caught her by the wrist and lifted her up before she can respond and pull her against the wall, then kiss her. She started wondering how he's so good at kissing. They're still underage and it was an adult kiss! Siebel really was like a beast. He didn't give her any time to breathe. The kiss ended when the bell rang for end of lunch break. He let her go and gently wiped her lips. He then told her it was a mistake and told her to forget it and not to come closer to him. She wondered if she had been rejected and asked why. He won't answer her and he left.

When she asked her friends what that could've meant, they said he's probably pretending to be bored of her now that she's in his 'fishery' as punishment for being friends with other guys. But she's not sure since when she look at Siebel he doesn't seem nervous. They all went to the rooftop to spy on Siebel getting confessed. They couldn't hear anything though. The girl then walked towards them with angry steps and when she saw Marilyn she got embarrassed. Marilyn wasn't sure what happened. In fact, she herself was upset even though she know Siebel always get confessed to since he looks good. She got pissed that he's ignoring her and wonder what he said during the girl's confession. She got so upset, she yelled out to him why he kissed her if he was going to be like this. The voice echoed through the staircase. Everything got silent. Lara got weak on her knees.

Siebel approached her and hesitate to sweep her hair to the side. He ask if he was mistaken that she seem jealous. She shook his hand off and told him to go away. He said it's regrettable he can't even touch her. Even so he laughed at her since she doesn't want him but don't want him to be taken by others either. He find it cute. He then slowly turned and apologized to the girl and ask if they can go since they're done talking. The girl smiled bitterly and left. Marilyn asked what they talked about and he told her if she was eavesdropping, she should've listened properly. She told him not to talk to her. He laughed at her and as they continue talking, Violet interrupted them and told them she's trying to write a romance novel rn and wanted to use them as sample. She tagged Marilyn as the girl with unrequited love and wonder if Siebel has the bad boy tag. Then she asked if they really kissed.

Siebel asked her friends if she never talk about her relationship with him. They shook their heads in response. But Natalie came out and said admit that Marilyn was confused with her feelings for him and told him that Marilyn likes him. Marilyn wanted to hurt Natalie right now. He got stiff and walked away briskly. Marilyn wasn't sure what that expression meant. Her friends told her not to cry but she still cried. All her friends blame each other for making her cry.

Spoiler: plans to catch the ML

Her friends realized the distinguished guest at her village was Siebel and he took her village as his territory. They're debating whether Siebel likes Marilyn or not. They don't approve of him for ringing their friend in like that and making her sad and confused. Lara asked what about her brother. Marilyn doesn't want Lara to appeal her brother at this time. She thanked her friends for their concerns. She decided she will keep trying since she haven't even confessed out of her mouth yet or hear his rejection upfront.

Marilyn read all the books Natalie recommended. She even try to stagger in front of Siebel but he avoided her touch. She fell and hurt herself and got embarrassed. When Siebel heard she fell, he tried to reach out to her but then retracted his touch when he realized she was fine. Her friend told him to bring her to the infirmary saying she's hurt. Esco who was eavesdropping on the side asked if she's hurt and then embraced her to pick her up. Emily was at training so she couldn't even stop her brother. When he got her to the corridor, he told her to put her down and that she wants to get off.

By the time she returned back to the classroom, class started. They were talking about the government and the professor commented on Siebel. Marilyn recalled Siebel is the lord since his parents died. Then she also remembered the fairy tale book she saw Siebel reading when they were to pick up Lara's gift. It was about a king who got possessed by a witch and would sacrifice his daughter to a monster. The prince then save the princess and they got a happy ending.

After class the students all crowded around Siebel marveling that not only is he handsome, he's also an aristocrat and asked him why he never told them. Her friends defended Siebel from the other students. Marilyn went to asked the professor about that story of the curse. He told her its a myth, but the people who are met with such disaster usually die early and don't live well and live in isolation. But she doesn't think Siebel lived such a life based on what Sear told her. The professor suggested she can check the library for more info. She thanked the professor and left.

At the library, she bumped into the girl who confessed to Siebel at the rooftop. The girl told Marilyn that even though she was rejected, she just wanted to confess. But she was upset since she didn't want to know there was someone he like. Marilyn then got curious and asked if she said there's someone he likes. She tried to deny saying that but then she said when he rejected her she had asked him if he liked someone. His response was there is no one he likes but if he was to like something, he likes red hair and green eyes and after he said that Marilyn showed up . Marilyn felt awkward hearing that but it seemed like a pass to her.

She decided to have a go at it and try to entice him. She decided to fake some tears to try to get his attention. Instead Lycan grabbed her shoulder and started showing concern for her. She lied that she was tearing up from yawning. She won't tell him why she's crying. He gave up asking and told her to wipe her tears instead and handed her a handkerchief. Marilyn noticed it was the one she gave him before around when she was admitted to the school. Even though it was her handkerchief, she told Lycan she'll wash it and return it back to him. She told him to find someone else to love. He said the way she's rejecting him is cruel and touched her cheek and stroke her eye, telling her to allow him to at least be concern for her. Marilyn felt the direction is leading to an awkward place and decided she need to be cruel.

Siebel showed up and told Marilyn it's time for class. He then asked who was crying but Lycan kept looking at Marilyn. Marilyn then admit in front of them both that she did it deliberately to show Siebel since she saw in a book that tears can shake a man. Lycan wonder what sort of book that is but Marilyn then said she did it because she like Siebel. She told Lycan to give up on her. Then even told him they kissed like adults. Siebel grabbed her and dragged her way.

He dragged her by the hand to an empty classroom. The he started questioning her if she really likes him. She admit she like him. She think Siebel might not know of his own feelings for her but she can definitely feel he doesn't have affections for her. He doesn't believe she likes him and laughed at her confession. He told her if she does like him then to kiss him, and he removed his gloves revealing his black hands. She told him, she doesn't want to since she'll get infected when she touch him. He told her this is the only way he can know her real feelings. But she doesn't want to get infected and die. She told him, she plan to live 100 years with him so she have to be healthy and they can have children well. She told him she wants a son and a daughter, and even though it's too much to bear having his family name, she doesn't mind it. They can marry after graduation. She plans to release him from his illness before they graduate. She also want a modest wedding since she like small weddings with people close to them. She continued on to say that she will need money to research about his illness and he can give her the money. Siebel screamed at her asking what she's trying to say. He was shocked from the absurdity.

Marilyn then handed him back the bell saying she doesn't want to control him. He asked even if he hurts her? and she said he won't since she trusts him. He put his gloves back on after staring at the bell. As he reached out for the bell, he instead grabbed her hand and pulled her in to kiss her. Marilyn wondered if he's testing her. He then stopped and touched her forehead with his forehead, asking if she hated it yet. She's wondering what and he responded confinement, kidnapping, etc. Marilyn got impatient with this guy who is being yandere again. He told her he will give her a room that's bigger than a house and she can decorate it. She asked if she can go out. He said she can go out to the garden and she can call her friends. She yelled at him that it's not different since she can't go out. He told her not to worry since he will take care of her and her parents. She tried to lecture him it's real and he kissed her again. She asked him if he's just trying to kiss her without defining their relationship. Then he asked her if she just wanted to play around then. She told him a relationship between a man and woman shouldn't be a joke. She threatened that if he's just thinking it's just playing around she won't kiss him. He confessed he like her, he like her too. She asked if he's just liking her rationally. It's close to that. She tried to correct his actions since she doesn't approve of confinement. That wasn't the answer she wanted from him. She wondered how she should teach him. But then, Siebel collapsed and fell to the floor.

His face turned black. She ran to the chairman's office since she can't tell anyone. Siebel was returned home secretly.

Spoiler: fan group

Siebel's fan group approached Marilyn asking how she can kiss Siebel when he belongs to everyone. She asked them if he's an object and told them that he even confessed back to her. And even said he told her he will give her a room larger than a house. And he will take care of her parents when they get married. Lara went down. Lara was upset and doesn't approve of Siebel. Marilyn felt like Lara is the mother in law. Emily then came with a bat chasing after the fan group. Marilyn wondered why a knight trainee is using a bat and not a sword or even a wooden sword.

Marilyn asked for help from Sear to find out Siebel's address. Sear didn't like someone caring for Siebel but he agreed to help since Marilyn said she also agree to listen to any of his requests later. She decided to win his love by caring for Siebel while he's sick and weak.

Lara is still upset with Marilyn's love for Siebel. She thinks Siebel is stealing Marilyn from her. Their other friends think Marilyn's true love is Lara rather than Siebel when watching the two running and hugging towards each other. Lara told Marilyn she had a grand plan to get Marilyn into her friend by having her marry her brother, but since Marilyn likes Siebel she'll agree that Siebel is good. Marilyn thanked Lara thinking Lara had really grown up. When Marilyn got on the carriage to head to Siebel, Lara waved her handkerchief while proclaiming her love for Marilyn. Marilyn felt thankful for her.

Siebel's castle was really grand. She tried to enter through the front gates but the private guards won't let her since they don't know her. She told them she's Siebel's gf while thinking she's going to be his mistress later on. None of the believed her, neither the servants so she tried to trick them to look away and then squeezed in between them trespassing the place. She sneaked into the castle through the back door. Marilyn was upset they didn't believe her and thinking to herself that when she becomes the mistress one day, they'll know.

Inside the castle she looked at the portraits. She tried to find his bedroom but then heard a maid screaming out that they found the intruder. Everyone start to ran towards the maid. She headed to the corridor that looked the most remote and opened a door from there to see a staircase leading downstairs to the dark. As she saw people closing in on her, she was left with no choice and hurried down the stairs. Fortunately there was a small torch at the end, but then she thought to herself why was there a torch randomly at the end. But then the bell she wasn't able to return to Siebel rang. She held the bell still to stop it from ringing. She then started to see portraits like from the ones upstairs down at the creepy place, but these were all portraits of children, perhaps children of the family ancestors. The last portrait was Siebel.

She shifted her eyes to look into the cell and saw Siebel lying there. It looked like he went in there himself. Marilyn called out to him and opened the cell. She grumbled to him why he was there when he should be resting. She took her coat off and wrapped him in it. Siebel woke up and asked if it's her and wondered why she was there. He told her to go back. She got upset at him and asked him did he think she can stand just leaving him dying there. He told her she'll also be in danger around him and said her affection is too much for him. Marilyn dragged him out and brought him to bed. She asked him if there's anyway to improve it and he told her that it was a miracle he was able to stay alive until now. He wouldn't mind dying but then he wouldn't be able to see her pretty face. Marilyn told him he will get better soon and she's going to be the princess on the white horse saving him, but it seemed he fell asleep.

The door open and the servants came. They saw her with Siebel sleeping in bed. Marilyn put her finger to her mouth to indicate they should be quiet since Siebel is sleeping and whispered to them he just fell asleep. The servants felt embarrassed and excused themselves out. She asked one of the butler some questions and he led her to a quest room.

During her stay while she took care of Siebel she tried to wander around to find answers. She got caught eating bread she got from the kitchen herself. The butler told her she should've said she was hungry and he would've prepared the meal. Marilyn got embarrassed. When she returned back to Siebel's room, he was gone. Marilyn got mad again. It seemed like he went back to the basement.

She can't find Siebel there but when she went to touch a random portrait, a journal fell out from behind. She also checked the other portraits and each of them contained a journal where observations of the child was kept. When she went to check Siebel's portrait, there was also a journal. She opened it to find out that Siebel's parents had both decided to dedicate their child to the estate as sacrifice. The estate was not doing well financially before so they sacrificed Siebel for the curse to improve the family name. When then later on the mother wanted to remove the curse and a shaman told her there is one way but that way is impossible so the only way to remove the curse is for the child to die. Marilyn is determined to find the other way. Siebel then called out to her and asked if she read it and how much she read it. She tried to answer him but then he told her not to come close to him. His whole body started to turn dark. Marilyn ran towards him and the darkness flowing from Siebel engulfed her.

When she blinked to her new surroundings, she started to see a series of events of Siebel's past. A maid that got infected and had her skin rotting. The maid got taken away and his mother showed up. child Siebel tried to tell his mother he didn't intentionally hurt the maid. His mother warned him in the future to talk to people keeping distance. Another scene showed his father asking an old woman why his son is still like that after being fed herbs. She told him it seemed the curse is effected by emotions so in order to control the curse he can't feel sadness or anger. The father then whispered to ask the old lady if that means he would have to hug the cursed thing then. Marilyn cursed him out upset that the father can say something like that when he's the reason Siebel was cursed in the first place.

Since that day, his mother visit daily to show a few affection towards Siebel, but his father continued to avoid him. One day Siebel asked his mother if she can stroke his head. She froze up from his request and told him that she would like to but he still can't control his abilities well. Siebel can tell his mother is scare of him. Later on news came that his mother is pregnant. She doesn't come to see Siebel after that. No one told Siebel about the news but he can hear it from his room and from looking out the window everyday, he can see his mother's belly getting bigger and his father patting the belly. It looked like two happy parents. Marilyn tried to stroke young Siebel's head but her touch couldn't be felt. In the end, Siebel sneaked out of his room one night to his parents' bedroom. He pat his mother's belly but then he started to feel jealous. His mother woke up from pain and realized her stomach had turned black. Siebel was then imprisoned in the cell, but the baby was miscarried and his mother fell into critical condition. his father couldn't hold in his anger would go to the basement to whip Siebel. When Siebel clinged onto his father, the man told him not to touch him telling him that the one who tried to kill his mother won't be able to also kill his father.

Siebel was only able to leave the dungeon when there's social events. He would be wrapped up when he attends them. One day the chairman (Siebel's father's brother) was talking to Siebel's father. He knew the curse is due to the ability. He told Siebel's father he may not know anything about curse, but he know how to educate children and thus Siebel's education was then taken over by the chairman. It was abuse in the name of 'education'. The chairman treated him as one treats an animal. (If you've heard of Pavlov, experiment, he pretty much did that) He would ring the bell and whip him to instill the fear of the bell ringing into Siebel.

His mother finally died from rotting and the lord one day came drunk before his son and tried to strangle him. He tried to kill Siebel but Siebel grabbed his father's hand and his father's hand started to rot. Siebel's parents were killed from Siebel's ability. Marilyn think it's more of the parents' fault than Siebel. She didn't care even if Siebel was guilty of killing his parents. She decided she will take care of him from now on since he had always been alone.

When she awaken from her surrounding darkness, she can see Siebel leaning against the wall having had stepped back to give her distance from him. She walked toward Siebel and then kissed him. The black spots covering his face started to slowly disappear. It was just like a prince's kiss releasing the princess's spell. Siebel shook his head thinking it won't help much, but she counter it saying she think it had improved a lot. It looked like kissing can be a treatment to hold the curse at bay. It can't treat it fully though but it still improved his condition. Even so Siebel said he'll rather be a villain, a bad person. Marilyn didn't care since she like him even knowing he's a bad person. Siebel laughed at her confession and also admit he likes her as well. She finally got the answer she wanted. But Siebel still doesn't feel confident being with her since he will die soon. She told him he won't die. She still plan to live 100 years with him. Marilyn started hissing his chin and lips and Siebel stuttered her name. He tried to remind her he's a man but Marilyn found his reaction cute so she continued to kiss Siebel enjoying his reaction and also seeing the effects the kisses have on his skin. Siebel promised her, he will return to the academy.

Spoiler: back to school

Siebel never returned back even until the end of the school year. Another vacation also passed. Lycan know about her relationship with Siebel so they tried not to be awkward around each other. Violet's book was also published with good reviews. Lycan made the opening speech while staring at Marilyn. Lara noticed and Mariyln too even though their friends don't believe it. They are now 2nd years and Lycan is graduating.

Lara and Marilyn had a meal to celebrate Lycan's graduation. Lycan called Marilyn out personally and Marilyn wanted to reject him saying she have to go to the library, but Lara left. Lycan gave her some meds to help with her digestion and commented how how when she was young she got pain from it before. She told him she's not a kid anymore. She can tell Lycan still likes her and it felt awkward for her but they laughed over when she joked that he just nag immediately after he graduated. When he turn to leave, she told him 'good bye oppa', but he came back and confessed he 'liked her and like her', she told him to leave it in the past tense since she can't return his feelings. Lycan gave her a parting gift. It was said if you collect 7 flowers with 7 petals, your love will come true (the flower normally have 8 petals). He left her the 7 flowers with 7 petals to let go of his regrets.

When Lycan left, Seer showed up having eavesdropped on their conversation after all he's usually napping in the library. He asked her why Siebel and said she should rather love someone else. Marilyn asked him who else then. He started to mention someone like him and Marilyn got upset since she was already overwhelmed with Lycan. Seer told her it's a joke. She yelled at him to not say something like that even if it were a joke, especially not with friends. He told her friends are how they each define it. He then ask her if there's anything she wanted from him since he wanted to grant her wish all of a sudden. He wanted to make her smile. Marilyn found his words weird since she's always smiling, but he told her that she used to be all bright and happy and recently she just look depressed. She told him she would like to see fireworks then, remembering when she first saw fireworks with Siebel.

Given that Seer is the chairman's son, he was able to grant that request easily. The friends all want to see the fireworks together but Marilyn wanted to watch it at the clock tower, but the clock tower is a secret where only Siebel and her knew about and she wanted to keep it that way. Lara seem to have realized something and told Marilyn that she can watch the fireworks without her friends since she didn't do that last year. Lara knows Marilyn have keep some secrets from her but she wants marilyn to be happy. Marilyn apologized to Lara.

Marilyn went to the clock tower. It seemed she gained some weight since she had a harder time now. She took out the flowers Lycan had given her and wonder if she can use them for her own lover. She closed her eyes to make a wish with the flowers, but then she heard his voice and wonder if it's a hallucination. When she opened her eyes she saw Siebel. The wind from outside blew the flowers from her palm away. She asked why he's there and why no letters telling her he'll be back. Siebel looked embarrassed apologizing. She called him a bad person and he said he knows he is bad but he wants to be a good person to her. He told her he wants to date her and he likes her. The fireworks burst into the sky. He confessed to her once again. Marilyn returned his confession.

Spoiler: start of dating

Marilyn thought she would be able to have a dating school life but Siebel wanted to keep it private because of the chairman. He thinks the chairman would try to hurt Marilyn if he finds out they're dating. Marilyn got mad at the chairman for messing with their love life. He told her that he had knew for a long time the chairman had been using the bell against him so he had pretended and waited to steal the bell. Marilyn asked how she can help him. He told her she just have to continue loving him and not to smile with another man. She told him that he's also good at dealing with other girls. They both laughed at each other falsely.

They returned to the classroom pretending not to know each other. When they're back in the classroom, Marilyn noticed Siebel surrounded by the girls from his fan club. She got upset. She may have been confessed to by Lycan or Chris but Siebel have more females around him. An unknown boy approached before Marilyn and tried to talk to her. He blushed and stuttered asking for a bit of her time. Once they left the classroom, he asked her to accept his love letter. It was the first time she had ever received a love letter before. Marilyn wondered if she is someone who gets prettier as she grows up. She was feeling happy over it for a bit but then remembered she can't since her bf is pretty violent. She apologized to the guy. He asked her if she could at least read his letter, but she think it's just a letter so it should be fine since Siebel also accepted love letters before, but then he destroys them from behind without reading them. She can just do the same. She reached out to accept the letter, but then a protruding hand grabbed the letter and started reading the front of the envelope out loud. 'To the Universal goddess Marilyn.' Marilyn called out Siebel's name and he questioned the guy where there's a 'universal goddess' he didn't know of. Marilyn panicked since they were suppose to hide their relationship but now she felt like he's being a husband trying to openly catch his wife cheating. She tried to grab the letter from him but he's too tall. He opened the letter and read it out loud without her permission. Marilyn started to fluster.

Siebel reacted sarcastically to the letter. The guy was surprised since Siebel had always put up a fake nice image in front of others. Siebel told the guy that he had known Marilyn was pretty from first glance (cause the guy's letter said he noticed from her 2nd year). he also told the guy that he won't be able to get Marilyn's notice since he's there. Marilyn felt 2nd hand embarrassment for that arrogance but then again Siebel does have the best face so she can't deny it. The guy ran off in tears apologizing saying he didn't know they were in a relationship.

Marilyn yelled out Siebel's name as though cursing him. Siebel shrugged and said it haven't even been a day since he warned her not to smile in front of other guys. She told him he also smiled before, but Siebel said she followed him right in front of his eyes too, and also accepted his letter. Marilyn then said he also smile in front of other girls and he told her he wouldn't follow another girl in front of her. It haven't even been a day since they agreed to date and they're already fighting. The bad mood didn't just end there for the day. When she dropped something, someone helped her pick it up. When she thanked him, the guy blushed, and Siebel saw. Her friends also noticed Marilyn had been getting more popular recently. Lara of course claimed Marilyn had always been pretty.

Spoiler: more jealousy

Emily said since she's a knight trainee she can usually hear the guys talk more. Marilyn is getting popular with the guys but Lara is still most popular. She doesn't often get much confessions though since the guys don't think she looks approachable unlike Lara, so to Marilyn that's a good thing since the chances of getting confessed to is smaller. Lara asked Marilyn if she's dating. Her friends wonder if she's getting prettier because she's dating. She is still hiding her relationship with Siebel from her friends.

Marilyn got called by the professor. She head out alone, but was then grabbed by Siebel and embraced by him. She asked him weren't they in the middle of a cold war. He said that's a different matter entirely. He then kissed her cheek and then lips. But then she heard students talking and removed her lips. They waited quietly until they passed by. Marilyn then rebuked him for doing things like this when it's suppose to be a secret. He laughed asking why she's more into hiding it than him. She told him because she finds it exciting. Siebel on the other hand said he have to deal with the chairman quickly so other guys won't approach her. Looked like Siebel is very jealous. Marilyn is a jealous person too but Siebel is too much.

The class started to discuss what they should do for the festival. They ended up deciding on a play. Violet is in charge of the script, Natalie is in charge of costumes, Emily is in charge of background and lighting, Lara is the FL, Siebel is the ML, and Marilyn is the wicked queen. She have to play a wicked queen who seduced the King. Marilyn was excited for her role. She was talking alone with Siebel about how fun it'll be to play as a villainess. Siebel frowned and asked her if she intends to try to play the role of seducing the King. Marilyn responded isn't it based on the script. He listened to her and easily accepted it. Marilyn also let it pass since she's sure Siebel would understand if they're just acting anyway.

But then in the evening, Violet told them that Siebel was actively voicing his opinions for the play and even went to her to discuss how the script should be. Marilyn then realized Siebel's jealousy is larger than she thought. Violet continued to say Siebel had told her to remove scenes that he think are too stimulating. Her friend asked Marilyn if she's okay since they know she used to like Siebel. She couldn't answer them. Fortunately they didn't question further.

Manuscript is complete and they're checking the script. Looks like Violet kept the seducing king part in the script. Siebel's expression when looking at the script wasn't good, but Marilyn didn't think he should overreact since they're not asking for the queen and king to kiss. Even so she think it's cute that Siebel is jealous.

First day of practice, Lara tried to reassure Marilyn that it's just acting, but Marilyn didn't think it's a big deal since they're both playing as the main love interests in the play. She watched them act out there lines and felt proud of Lara's first time acting. It was really great. She clapped her hands enthusiastically. Other students thought she was weird but then followed along. Marilyn was feeling proud it was her bf and best friend over there.

During the break before the next scene, Siebel approached her wanting to talk about her role. She wondered why would that matter since she didn't talk to Siebel about his role. She told him that it was the first time she saw Lara act and she think Lara is a genius. How can she act so good? Siebel was upset asking if she's being serious. Marilyn asked why he's upset and he told her usually she should be jealous at a situation like this, but she responded that it's because they both acted well. Siebel said he sometimes think she likes her friend more than him. He was really upset. Marilyn doesn't understand. Siebel then asked her if him and Lara both fell into the water, who would she save. She think he's being childish and asked Siebel can't he swim so of course she'll save Lara since she can't swim. He asked her what if he drowns and dies, how would she live with him for 100 years. He asked her if she's trying to withdrew her promise to him for some blonde girl. Marilyn felt something is wrong but not sure what to do. They couldn't even finish their conversation when they got called for the next part.

Both Siebel and Marilyn couldn't practice well. Her friends asked her what happened to her. She made some scenario up asking what to do with a jealous actor bf. Natalie told her she feels bad for the boyfriend and as they kept talking Marilyn realize Natalie mentioned her and Siebel. Her friends knew about her relationship. She asked how they knew. Natalie told her that she's always sneaking winks and sending hearts to Siebel in class and when they pass by each other in the crowded hallways, they would pass by touching their fingers or arm. They didn't tell her since Violet believe Marilyn should tell them. She finally told her friends about her relationship. Emily told Marilyn it was actually Siebel who was more revealing than her with the relationship since he just keep looking at her all the time. Marilyn then realized that whenever she look at Siebel he was already staring at her from before. So even when he was acting out the confession with Lara, the whole time he was staring at Marilyn from the distance. Marilyn asked her friends how he looks at her. Lara said he looks creepy and weird. Natalie corrected her and said said it just seem like he's just looking at her as someone who can only see her and she's the only thing in the world.

Marilyn while thinking of her conversation with her friends start to shake her head. Siebel came up to her asking why she's shaking her head alone like a pervert. She then went to Siebel and started hugging him saying how much she missed him. He froze up embarrassed, but then comment if she's being like this, it'll be hard to deal with other stupid guys... Marilyn apologized to him and tried to explain to him that she likes her friends but appealed to him that she loves him more. Natalie's advice to Marilyn is to always tell her bf he's better, and the advice seem to be working so Marilyn thanked Natalie in her head. She also told Siebel they have to hide their relationship more thoroughly since after hearing what her friends said looks like others might noticed.

She then commented how pretty Siebel is as she pinched his cheeks. He then said embarrassingly that she should grant his wish then if he's so pretty. She asked him what wish and he tapped his lip with his finger and told her that's enough for him. And they spend the time as such until the bell rings for class.

Spoiler: the play must go on

Marilyn went to see Sear at the library. She wanted Sear to help her practice her parts as the King. He didn't want to and asked why she didn't ask her friends. She told him they're not helpful with acting. When she practiced with Violet, Violet would keep telling her what to do with every little detail. With Emily, Emily would keep falling asleep. Natalie would get so into the character that she would stray off from the script and go into unknown territory since she read too many smut. Lara would get all upset saying that's not the Marilyn she knows. The Marilyn she knows is innocent, kind and cute. And if she asks Siebel... well he'll hate that she's trying to seduce other people so she can only ask Sear. They practiced the lines and when she got up to the part to stroke his cheek, Sear avoided her touch and blushed. Then said he's not happy with this. She wonder why everyone is overreacting with the scenes. They stopped practicing and he asked her how it is with Siebel. As she was about to leave, Sear grabbed her uniform and asked why she doesn't hang out with him when they're friends. Marilyn realized that she does hang out with him less than her other friends. He asked her to go see a play with him and she agreed excitedly since in order to act better, its best to see a play for sample. Sear laughed at her reaction saying he didn't think she would like it that much. She wonder if she should tell Siebel since she's seeing a play with a male friend.

Marilyn was troubled. Marilyn asked for where Siebel is and was told he just came out of the changing room. When she went to him, she saw him surrounded by a bunch of people. She called out to him and he smiled as he saw her ran to him. She then told him she's going to see a play with Sear. He frowned but agreed. She wonder if he's just agreeing outwardly and then later on do something in the background like in the og novel, but she couldn't tell from his face. She wondered if it was because he couldn't really hear her clearly over the crowd so she tried to tell him again louder but the other kids pushed him to go practice with Lara. It seemed he was busy, but she can't really wait until he's done either since the planned event will be late.

Natalie asked Marilyn if she got Siebel to agree and Marilyn answered she wasn't too sure. But she think Siebel should be able to understand since her and Sear never spent time together as a friend. She then decided to go and left Natalie.

Marilyn and Sear went to eat some waffles. He cut some of his waffle to give to her. She felt comfortable with Sear even though they don't hang out much. After they ate and drank, they went to see the play. She told Siebel commoners like her don't often get the chance to see plays and he told her since they're friends they can always just come back to see other plays. Originally she didn't want to se more since she was going to pay him back her share but she just told him they could.

Marilyn didn't enjoy the play much as she kept thinking about Siebel. Afterwards when she tried to pay Sear back the money, he stared at the money but didn't take it. She told him that she originally was going to pay him back, and he told her that she didn't even watch the play since her mind was elsewhere the whole time. He told her she didn't have to pay him back and wondered if she had a fight with Siebel again. She said it wasn't like that. Then he asked, was it because Siebel would know she went out with him. Marilyn couldn't answer him. Sear wondered if her taste is bad guys. Marilyn told him Siebel isn't bad and said she knows he hates Siebel. He then asked her if she likes Siebel as much him. She felt weird and ask aren't they friends. Marilyn felt Sear was looking at her the same way, Lycan or Siebel looks at her. Sear then quickly answered yes. She tried to question Sear how he defines his friendship. As he was about to answer, a large shadow came out from under the sunset and said 'Here you are'.

Marilyn turned around to see Siebel with a bright smile but she can tell it meant he's extremely angry. Siebel asked her if she watched the play with Sear. Marilyn told Sear to return back to the academy for his safety. Siebel's smile stiffened from her actions and asked where is he trying to go. Marilyn told Siebel that she's friends with Sear. Siebel said the three of them can talk then. She told Siebel that Sear didn't do anything wrong. Siebel doesn't think so. He think some guy being cocky and trying to take her from him. Marilyn was stuck between two guys but she wasn't happy with it. In her head she ran through many scenarios and either way it'll be bad since they'll both get hurt. Siebel told Marilyn they'll talk together later. Sear told Siebel not to treat Marilyn carelessly. Siebel continued to smile with anger in his eyes saying he must've mistaken that just cause he hanged out with Marilyn, he suddenly though he was someone great. He told Sear that Marilyn is his, and not Sear's. Sear then answered that is why he told him not to treat her carelessly. Marilyn doesn't understand why Sear isn't backing down. Sear then continued saying that Marilyn likes Siebel even knowing what he's like. Siebel then realized something and then Sear excused himself not wanting to trouble her.

After Sear left, Siebel didn't say anything. Marilyn seated him at a bench and went to grab ice cream. She forcibly fed him ice cream. After eating some ice cream he looked better. Siebel then told her, it seemed he had never treated her with care so he decided he can do it. Marilyn felt proud of Siebel's change. Siebel told her that if she wanted to see a play, to tell him next time. Marilyn asked if he's upset because she hanged out with a man or because she hanged out with Sear. He said it's both. Marilyn apologized to him. Siebel nodded at her apology. He told her she can't go out alone with a man and Marilyn seem to be able to tell this is a warning. She nodded her head nervously and told him to forgive her for today then. He smiled playfully at her while answering ambiguously 'well....'

In class Marilyn noticed some guy who wasn't in there class always watching them practice. She asked her friends who he is. They told her he's the president of Lara's fan club. She finds it creepy that he just sits there and watch them play everyday.

On the day of the play, Marilyn enjoyed watching Lara and Siebel act. The story was progressing smoothly. The princess who was missing her mother wandered the woods and met the prince accidentally. They fell in love without knowing each other's identity. Marilyn was then called for her turn. It was the scene where the Queen plots to go seduce the King. She said her lines but after she said them, she heard some muffled noise someone asking who it is. Marilyn then put her hand to her chest as respect to the King and then look at the other actor but then she wondered why he looked so nervous. The actor then jumped off the stage apologizing. When she looked back, she can see her friends panicking. Marilyn tried to ad lib to resolve the issue pretending the king went crazy because of her beauty. Since the King left the stage she have to introduce herself to the princess. Lara approached Marilyn happily calling her 'yes mother'. Marilyn isn't sure why Lara is being happy when the plot calls for the princess being nervous the first time she met her step mother.

The princess ended up trusting her step mother easily. At the back of the stage, she got upset asking what was going on. Her friends sighed. Siebel gave her some ice cream to calm her down. She thought Siebel would back down after that incident with Sear. He had been mild since then but then somehow he reacted even strongly. She wasn't sure if Siebel did something to the king but she felt he did something. As the play continues, the prince learned the lady he met at the woods was a neighboring princess. The next scene will be when the prince confronts the Queen. Marilyn rushed to the stage for their part. The prince and queen greeted each other. The queen isn't happy with the prince since he's here trying to marry the princess who is more beautiful then her. The queen asked the prince who is more beautiful. The prince then took her hand. Marilyn was wondering why the prince is holding the queen's hand. He then kissed the back of her hand and told her nothing in the world can surpass her beauty. Marilyn panicked in her head wondering why he suddenly changed up the lines. But she continued to play it off saying of course she is beautiful and told the prince that the princess is sick so she can't accept any proposal.

The prince who knew that was a lie would trespass the castle to find the princess and confirm their love. The prince would then promise to save her. The scene ended and Marilyn rebuked Siebel and Lara for changing things up. Marilyn begged them to continue acting according to the script for the rest of the play since there's not much now. Lara asked Marilyn why she can't play the princess role instead. Siebel then said as Lara had said, Marilyn is pretty so what can he do when he's more concern about the witch than the princess.

Back to the play, the prince brought an army and the queen realizing it's her end, shed tears of self pity. Marilyn felt proud off herself for acting so well, but then Lara screamed out that it was all a lie. The princess ran out from behind the stage bursting into tears. Violet back stage was upset her script is going haywire. Marilyn tried to act according to all the changes. Lara then asked Marilyn if she actually promised 100 years with 'Blue' (Siebel's nickname that Lara calls him). Marilyn panicked and realized Siebel told Lara about that promise. Lara then cried out telling Marilyn she was suppose to live with her. Marilyn tried to continue acting and reminded the "princess" that her step mother cursed her, but then Violet back stage wrote out the cue to tell her to just adlib since it's too late to stick to script now.

Siebel then showed up from behind the stage to confront the queen again. The prince approached the queen all bloody and told her to kill him if she wished to. She find the play is heading a weird direction where the prince is falling in love with his gf's step mom. What would people think! But the audience was very enthusiastic with the changes saying the witch must have a backstory. The Queen told the prince she's a witch. The prince told her he knows but still want to propose to her. Siebel knelt down before her and took her hand to kiss it. The curtains then went down.

Marilyn thought everyone was upset. But the audience had very good response. Violet decided to write forbidden relationships now due to the good responses. She wasn't upset either. Violet felt Marilyn acted really cool. Marilyn then went to talk to Lara how she even got Siebel to say that. Apparently Lara started it first since she told him that after graduation she will live with Marilyn, but Siebel should've ignored it. Lara asked if 'Blue" lied to her. Marilyn can't lie so she didn't answer. Lara then tried to appeal to Marilyn saying she will cook and clean and do dishes and trim the garden... She's upset Marilyn promised Siebel 100 years without telling her. She wonder if this will be an issue in the future since she wanted her friends to attend as bridesmaids at her wedding.

Spoiler: formation of a new fan club

They went back to stage to take their last bow. After they went down, the president of Lara's fan club approached them, but instead of approaching Lara, he approached Marilyn. Marilyn wondered if he's trying to use her to get close to Lara, but instead the guy and the rest of Lara's fan club members all went up and pulled out a huge pink banner displaying their affection for Marilyn. 'Beautiful Witch, Marilyn! We will protect you!' Marilyn didn't know how to react. She asked them weren't they members of Lara's fan club before. He told her that he had followed Lara for a year and knew Lara's best friend, and then during 2nd year, he started to notice her more. He originally went to watch the practice rehearsals to see Lara but then as he watched Marilyn, he find her acting more fascinating and became a fan. Marilyn felt embarrassed. They kept screaming their love for her and she became worried her friends will start teasing her now, but there's also another worry.

Siebel then appeared laughing along with Marilyn's awkward laughter. He then commented that Marilyn have gotten more popular. She tried to refute it, but he wondered out loud if there are more fans in her club than his fan club. Marilyn was thinking to herself that he's the one who is fine with a fan club and not her. They bickered back and forth. But since they're keeping their relationship a secret, they can only argue hypothetically, such as Siebel claiming that her bf wouldn't like the existence of the fan club and she responded that she will just have to get a bf who is more popular than her so he'll understand. Siebel told her, she will have to be careful since if her bf gets jealous, she'll be the one troubled. Marilyn thanked him for the warning and told him she doesn't have a bf yet so instead she can just make a male friend jealous. She then walked away as Siebel kept smiling.

As days passed, her fan club members would keep an eye for her everywhere. When she almost fell, some male students would lie down on the direction of her fall to take her fall. One day she even got a sandwich from one of her fans. She tried to share it with Siebel since it was more delicious than she thought. Siebel sarcastically asked if the person who made the sandwich had done done some inappropriate things while making the sandwich for her. Marilyn told him it's a homemade sandwich so obviously it's made by his hands. The sandwich was then crushed by Siebel's hands as he asked her if she's just picking up anything from kids. Marilyn think he's being too much asking about her club members when he doesn't even care anything about his own club members. He wouldn't even blink an eye if any of them die.

A cute freshmen came up to her to confess to her. But then members of her fan club showed up threatening him. They were telling him that he doesn't have permission to confess to her. Marilyn wasn't sure what was going on and she'll rather rely on her bf to protect her. The fan club was able to rope the freshmen into joining their club though, so Marilyn was glad that ended peacefully and at least her fan club was able to stop the freshmen from confessing to her. The problem was what came after. They started to proclaim that being a fan club member is a vow to become Marilyn's knight and they are an entity to Marilyn like a father, brother and boyfriend. Marilyn then tried to refute, but then Siebel came out and told them, if Marilyn's bf heard that, it'll be quite unpleasant. Siebel started an argument with her fan club as the members are telling him they have the right to protect Marilyn. Marilyn started to worry that Siebel is removing his mask. She then interrupted them to tell the fan members that she doesn't like the invasion of privacy, but then she felt something on her shoulder. She looked up and saw Siebel wrapping his arm around her shoulder. Marilyn looked amazed at Siebel and then he smiled and rested his chin on her head. Everyone then realized they're dating. As they were talking they realize it's not a huge surprise since there were times Siebel kept staring at Marilyn. Marilyn got embarrassed.

The president of Marilyn's fan club tried to deny their relationship. He was very upset. He even abandoned Lara's fan club to choose her. But then the president of Lara's fan club showed up. The fans parted like some yakuza movie and the president tried to lecture him to have healthy fan relationships. True fans also cheer for their idol when they fall in love. Siebel then clicked his tongue. Marilyn looked at him and asked was he actually aiming to disband her fan club. Siebel pretended to be unaware of her gaze. Well in the end, his plan didn't work out well.
