He is aware from the very beginning, He lied to the police so police would investigate his dad and pester him. ~don't know :3 His mother's choking face? Seme will found out abt it all.. MC will divulge all abt it at the end of the novel.
sooo, what's the deal with each case's chapter titles?? ~ i'm not that endowed in classical literature so sorry if the reason is something glaringly obvious
I heard Silent Reading was getting a live-action drama adaptation, but it seems like it might get a donghua adaptation or a drama CD (can't tell which) as well??? :O
Chapter titles are related to the radio program (that soporific one mentioned) broadcasting book readings. It's actually super significant because they tend to prelude and are associated with the cases investigated. The novel concerned tends to be mentioned in the arc itself, as someone (usually Tao Ran) listens to the radio station and wonders wtf is going on. For example, the 'Humbert Humbert' case is associated with the novel 'Lolita' by Vladimir Nabokov. 'Humbert Humbert' is the pseud used in the memoirs of the guy who engages in a romantic relationship with an underage girl in the novel. As you find out, the Humbert Humbert case concerns breaking up a pedophilia prostitution ring.
she did die by suicide. she has depression Fei Du’s dad is an abusive psychopath that psychologically and physically abused both his wife and son. he also tried so manipulated Fei Du into hurting his own mother
Did the mother killed herself so that Fei Du wont get manipulated by his father to be abusive anymore? Because if Fei Du started to abuse his own mother, i think there would be no return from that? Do you guys that could be the real motive behind the suicide? Because killing yourself the day you know that your son will found your body, suggested the suicide has other motive than finally had enough of your own husband abusiveness.. I really hope that is because the other motive is that she actually really sadistic to make your son see your suicide..
In case anyone isn’t aware, the novel has been completely translated in English by E. Danglars translations and you can read it here: http://edanglarstranslations.com/modu
When finished reading I recommend reading this fei du meta it’s really good and answered a lot of questions I was left confused about: https://twitter.com/jackedbylit/status/1292518840878809089?s=21
I have a question? What is the significance of the radio in the story? I mean how was the radio tell the future cases? Is someone manipulating in the dark?
The radio program is sort of used as a communication medium. It's not telling/predicting future cases because the ones behind the program are manipulating the cases to occur/bring it to people's attention and so yes you're right, there are masterminds behind the whole shebang. Having just finished this, I have to say that plot does bug me because some of the people they're manipulating are psychos and sociopaths. It's a bit silly to believe that anyone can manipulate this group of people so perfectly and precisely so that events happen the way they wanted it to. There has to be some unpredictability in the behavior of psychopaths/sociopaths. Heck there's unpredictability in normal people's behavior in normal situations too.
Please be more elaborate. I jumped into the extra and it seems to me that he just kept sleeping until MC chopped him for his organs after stomping his reputation to the grounds. And then put his ashes somewhere out of the way.
Spoilers on who MC and ML are and their background pls! I haven't read the novel yet cause I need spoilers first, lol.
You'll find most of what you need in the thread lol, but I guess you're asking about the main couple and who's shou/gong: MC (shou): Fei Du ML (gong): Luo Wenzhou Priest tends to write her couples fairly ambiguously, so the shou/gong separation isn't really that strong.
Did ML and MC know each other before the start if the novel?? Can u also spoil what each arc is about?
