Discussion Recent Events We all should know

As a person of color, I feel like EVERYONE should know what is happening everyday.

At Atlanta, 8 people were killed and the murder was let off simply because he wanted to release his sexual temptations of Asian woman. Described as a “Kid” by the county and showing no signs of having the dude take responsibilities for his actions. This just shows us that we need to speak up to stop people from getting hurt, bullied and murdered simply because of what they cannot control, like their culture, race, skin color, and gender.

I encourage everyone to filter their thoughts and words when speaking because that really hurts and may be racist even if you don’t think so. Everyone should speak up because it may not only help others but support those who are experiencing hate.

It would result in really stupid debate. Everyone already understands that racism = bad so I see no reason why you would need to make a thread about it. Maybe it's just because I've been on other sites that will result in really retarded discussion if politics gets shoehorned in idinno.

Look bro, I avoid politics too. But a forum is place for people to discuss topics. If you don't like it, just move on and let others that want to speak about the issue, speak on it. Weebs have feelings too bruh

 

Although I agree we shouldn’t break the rules and discuss potentially political topics, this should be important no matter which country you live in. Racism is in every country, why should your current address gatekeep your freedom to engage in discussion?

 

Except when it's against the forums rules. This is a place to talk about all things related to taranslated media. Be it novels, anime, or manga. Yes this is an off topic area, but as a general rule politics, religion and other sensitive topics are taboo. Racism is one of those topics that falls under those rules.

Well I don't think it's political but I think it's good to spread awareness that this is happening out in the real world and people should speak up about it. But this isn't the right platform to discuss the political aspect of the situation.

 

I don't get the point of this post? The suspect reléase have something to do with racism? Things like this happens all the time around the world. Its just like the case of a serial killer who kills only women o men, is he racist?
on another note case of racism in latino-america are hard to see , the people over there is more tolerante.

Yea, Chinese novels especially modern setting ones have a lot if RACISM which I tend to avoid. Even though I'm not involved an it's the Japanese or Americans or Some other group they shit on. It's still off putting.

This is political and will result in a stupid back and forth. If you are desperate to vent, there are other places that will better serve your purpose and spread the word better, like Twitter.
