It's heartwarming. The girl is 5 years old and she has seen her mother die 9 times already. Every time she AND her mother dies, she will go back to when she's 5. The most she has lived to is 7 years old. She has very strong mana, so she's experimented on by the people in the imperial palace, I think? Every time she dies and go back in time, the only person who was able to 'resist/not die' against the Emperor was Grand Duke Avelon. That's why she chose him to protect her and her mother.
I wonder if the other two people on the trees the Duke's children or someone related... I hope it'll be a heartwarming stepfamily situation
Interesting, genuine explanation not to expect much wit from MC. A bit harsh of me to say but she practically lives only a little less than 2 years since the longest is 2, and since she saw momma die 9 times and she's a victim of constant experimentation, then we can also assume she was never properly educated. A shame we don't get to see papa duke (unless he's the middle chibi holding the yellow rose?) Potential stepsiblings? 1 or 2 males and 1 female? Hmm... since they're chibi, I can only hope stepsiblings end up as teenagers so more people to protect our MC and mommy. Edit: Based on ch.2, MC was able to live as long as 9 if she bowed down to her sc*m of an uncle, huh? Now about them stepsiblings? Also... papa candidate is so far giving me good vibes! Any updates on the group who picked it up? It makes me sad seeing this stay at chapter 3. It makes me sad when a series gets dropped but the pain lessens if we have alternative ways to read the plot (like an adaptation. Case in point: The Lady's Butler. Or when The Archmage's Daughter got dropped because they were caught, at least spoilers still exists and also an adaptation)
Bumping this thread because WE HAVE AN UPDATE! Any new spoilers? We've finally met 8 year old older brother Allen. A bit lacking in common sense and delicacy but he hinted older sis would be quite wild as well. Still liking Papa-san, a bit strict and blunt but honest so far.
At some point the story flow started to give me deja vu of The Baby raising a Devil Spoiler: spoiler with the a pregnant Duke’s wife being kidnapped and killed (?) and the later found youngest daughter of the same age as MC being very suspicious and not trusted completely by the family and the house staff.
Ugh! I wanna know family dynamics spoilers! Whether papa duke is gonna try seducing mommy, wild stepsis appearance, sibling shenanigans! There was only one update last I checked
I think this novel needs to be suggested to popular translator's group. This one looks promising but some translators pick and drop, after translating few chapters. Also bumping this thread so anyone who has a kind heart, can hear our wishful dream of this being pick-up.
i don't know that, I stopped reading at that point. I really liked the MC's character and backstory, but plot twists were weird. I hope to read it one day in one go or maybe anyone will spoil the summary and main plot twists.
