Well, that's got to be the entirety of the Silmarillon, right? Its just objectively the second best piece of fiction ever written, only just behind the Bible and other monotheist religious texts.

there's not so much romance on the novel, tbh i prefer slow one like Throne of Magical Arcana, or none in superstar of tommorow

As a bibliophile, I can't answer this question because I have an extensive list of books which have touched me/ made me cry/ made me think/ changed my moral views etc. I cannot, in good conscience, select one particular book as best.

Do even best novels exist? Each one is special in their own ways. Here's a small glimpse into my reading:

    - All books by Enid Blyton
    - Harry Potter series
    - Inheritance series (Christopher Paolini)
    - Agatha Christie (Mrs Marple is my favourite but I love her other books too)
    - Perry Mason series by Gardner (I started to love the nuances of law, legal language and court dramas from this amazing series)
    - In Death series by J. D. Robb (I especially love reading these books after so many NU CN where MCs are going around killing/ raping/ setting up others to rape coz this series has a very strict/ stiff moral views)
    - Lord of the rings
    - Billy Bryson books (especially A Brief History of Nearly Everything - a fascinating insight for non-science folks into the science world)
    - Shakespear, Jane Austen, Bronte sisters and other classics
    - Nora Roberts (wholesome romance), Suzanne Wright (possessive romance), Christine Feehan (imo it's like a current day version of regancy romances where the MCs are 'strong' but can't do shit without the 'man'. But I just can't stop reading these books lol)
    - Loads of comic strip books (I collect these!) Like Garfield, Calvin and Hobbes, B.C., Hagar the Horrible, Dilbert etc etc.
    - Khaled Hosseini (for giving me a reality check with every book)
    - To kill a mocking bird (this one - I might actually accept is one of the best)

I have a list with NU too lol but I can't write so many names :(

Really hard to decide. Considering where we're posting this I'll start by narrowing it down to novels on this site.
I think probably Abyss Domination. Of course, that could be because it was dropped after 500 chapters, so I never got to the 800+ where almost all of these super long stories go bad.

Favorite commercial science-fiction novel: The Dragon Never Sleeps by Glen Cook
    - - - 1st runner up: Second Foundation (3rd book in the Foundation series) by Isaac Asimov
    - - - 2nd runner up: The Zero Stone by Andre Norton (also has must-read sequel Uncharted Stars)
    - - - 3rd runner up: Hyperion by Dan Simmons

Favorite commercial fantasy novel: The Lord of the Rings (three volume novel)
    - - - 1st runner up: Garrett P.I. series
    - - - 2nd runner up: Fanuilh series by Daniel Hood

Favorite non-commercial online novel: Tree of Aeons by Spaizzer at the excellent Scribble Hub website

Favorite novel length anime-based fanfiction: Drunkards Walk II (complete, has novel length sequel)
    - - - 1st runner up: Sailor Moon 4200 by Angus McSpon
    - - - 2nd runner up: Bubblegum Ragnarok by David Moon (prequel is The Ragnarok Agenda)

You can already click on "Reading List" under my avatar to see my favorites at this site. Of note is that the Tree of Aeons story was so good that someone copied it, changed a few things, and claimed authorship of it at an online Chinese paywall site for China Novel / Qidian. The chinese site ignored the author's DMCA, but finally partially listened by removing the english version's details from public view after many individuals complained to the website. That goes to show you if an author isn't vigilant, someone will make a knock off copy even of obvious titles as Harry Potter and be selling it online or in China as their creation.
