english, have "them" or "they" iirc for neutral unknown person cuz "it" only fir inanimate subject.... duh~ been too long forget grammar stuff~

    now lets move~
culture have significant impact toward language hence something on x language may have no correspond or equal counterpart on y language~ culture can also change cuz people lifestyle, education and value change so importance of word follow~ plus interaction among cultures~
before internet era its about ethic~ miss or mrs? your highness, sister and father on religion sense, madame etc~ there also to show affection such as honey, baby, babe, sweety etc~ kinship such as mother, uncle bla bla bla~
each language have their own stuff, english kinda bit suffer on neutral gender pronoun for human for third person~

maybe the user just forget about them, do they? you may think this cat just make it up but, english kinda wacky no? Its such a bother~ why I learn it on first place?

those sentences example of neutral pronouns on written english~ meh
not really important cuz thus cat grammar suck tho~

For me, it depends on the account I'm using.

With this account I don't correct anyone that refers to me with male pronouns, even though it bothers me, because I don't really want to get into too much drama.

With my accounts that aren't openly transgender though? I definitely do correct anybody that refers to me with the wrong pronouns, it's just something I can't deal with well. Especially because I make sure to always use girlish account names and girlish profile pictures and set my profile as female whenever possible.

That said, I wouldn't like if someone tried to correct others in the way they address me. I mean, I have to deal with my family using wrong pronouns when talking to me all the time, as well as some of my friends from time to time... It's something I hate, but that I am used to enduring. If someone tries to be my white knight in shining armor that wants to defend my rights... Well, I appreciate the thought, but I don't need defending in this specific context. If I wanted to correct someone on the usage of pronouns, I'd do it myself. Rather, having someone create drama for me is something I particularly hate, so I'd just get annoyed by the whole situation.

I do appreciate anyone's efforts in trying to defending other people's rights... In regarding to changing laws or making macro changes that will positively affect society as a whole that is. But when it is a personal issue that directly affects me, I prefer if people let me handle my own problems, as they'll just create unnecessary drama otherwise.

    I'm proud of you... blobmelt_thumbs

It's okay if you feel uncomfortable hearing the wrong pronouns if you truly don't like hearing them. Especially, from what I understand from your post.

I cannot claim I understand what's happening in your life right now. But I'm happy you're out there, proud of what you have become and it does not matter what other people's gender is, being kind, helpful and selfless is what makes us human not our gender, race or our standing in life. :bloblove:

I'm a dude thats 6 foot 3 nches and I have a bald ass head. Theres hardly any way you could mistake me as a women or something but if you did; I wouldnt really care.

If someone asks me to call them a specfic pronoun then I'd call them whatever theyd like to be called. not really in me to deny someone their identity unless its some weird shit like "soul animal" type shit.

My general rule of thumb is to refer to everyone online as them, and if someone I know is addressed by the wrong gender, I'll usually indirectly refer to them correctly to help convey it:cookie:
your obviously a bunch of sheep pretending to be an owl

I've been confused for a girl a few times, and I never cared enough to correct them. It's funny how whether it's a guy or a girl, they both disappear when they find out one way or another (usually contextual clues I don't bother hiding).

    Mouse~

Back to topic: Personally, I don't really care what I'm referred to... Might also be an extension of I have several names/nicknames/pronunciation of name and I really don't care what people call me.... Oh I take it back.

    I'm a mouse, not a rat. @HazyPrecise

This is where it helps to just use the personal name or Internet that a person prefers.

I politely correct them, because being misgendered feels weird and uncomfortable. Also, because I tend to be talking to people about yuri, it changes the context for what I'm saying if they don't know I'm a woman.

I go out of my way to make it clear that I'm a woman on my profile, though, so it baffles me how people manage to make the mistake...
