What do you often italicize in your text, thoughts, onomatopoeias, and etc?
Would you italicize both onomatopoeias and thoughts? or would you just italicize one thing in the whole series? Like you would only italicize thoughts, and nothing else.

I think thoughts are the most logical. Everything else has a clear method, while thoughts are usually fairly hard to convey separately from regular dialogue and text without italics

^That about differentiating thoughts from text. Additionally, I'm personally not a fan of using ** around words to add emphasis, I prefer to italicize.

Nice to know. I'm currently debating whether to italicize onomatopoeias, so I'm looking at what others do. Thanks for sharing your input!

It's more important in comics as italic fonts often look a lot better and comics' focus is more to art. That's not really the case here, it's more up to your personal preference.

    I italicize...
    • thoughts (sometimes I can't really tell though)
    • sfx and semi-sfx like *cough* or *sigh*
    • words that are not really names like 'ge', 'jie', etc
I'm fickle though... o.o So I miss some things... Sometimes and can't guarantee them. What I /am/ semi-consistent on is if there was originally English, then I bold.
