Some kind of futuristic government creates a tecnology that enable the creation of avatars that are gamelike and send them to a planet/world that they want to dominate, then they release a game on earth and people play it thinking its just another game when in reality they are slaughtering an entire planet. Its oddly specific but its just the idea i had, does anyone knows of something similar?
The World Online is similar in concept, without the deception. It’s good, but a large portion of it is Chineses history lessons since historical characters are the NPCs. The Chinese nationalism in the book is also very prevalent. If neither of those are deal Breakers, I’d recommend it.
Shepherding Humanity : MC Creates entire civilizations and worlds, and lets humanity from earth go in through a game interface. Humans initially think its just a super advanced game, but some start to feel that the people are real. Very good novel, a little bit similar to Low Dimensional Game. Cultivation in that world is real, and can be brought to earth, but the time in the other world is fast from earth. 1 day on earth is equal to 100 years in the other worlds. Some players live entire lives in other world and find out that they were only gone for a few hours on earth.
