I'm tired of morally grey MCs. Some people might like them, but personally I find them a bit contradictory. That's just my personal taste. It has no objective value. What I want are MCs who will do anything for their goal and who don't give a shit if innocents have to die. I heard it is quite boring as the MC just farms. Is that true? I also heard the world hopping is annoying. Is this true? Or does the author do a good job?
It depends what you like, the author took his ideas of world exploration that he used in Warlock of the Magus World and does it more often. Usually the world exploration is similar to what Leylin does to harvest a world of valuable resources. If you didn't like that part of WotMW, then you won't like Carefree Path of Dreams. I should warn you though that, at least in my personal opinion, WotMW was a better series, but the protag of Carefree Path of Dreams is just a less good version of Leylin, still better than most MCs in CN novels you will find. He still schemes and plans and has no problem sacrificing people, but just not to the same extent Leylin does. As far as the farming goes, yes he farms, he uses he skill to grow stuff that he can use to get stronger, but that is not all he does, farming is only a means to an end. Just like Leylin would be making potions or growing herbs. Once again, if those parts bothered you in WotMW, then you won't like Carefree Path of Dreams. But if you liked that, then you should still enjoy it. I suppose that I should add that I really liked Carefree Path of Dreams, but not as much as WotMW, but then again, the latter is one of my all time favorite series.
You can try The Wizard World. It's written by the same author as CPoD. Also The Plagiarist is famous because of these 2 novels.

Do keep in mind that the translation quality is like an eldritch abomination. Infuriating but subtle enough that you wouldn't use it to fuel the boiler, but will slowly drive you insane. Bit of a shame, that.
Umm wizard world is written by Get lost who wrote Way of the Devil, nightmare's call,Mystical Journey. Plagarist copied wmw from Wizard world and Copd from Mystical Journey.
