I read a few novels and found that I really enjoy the flirting stages of romance novels where one person is not that interested and another isn't either but they get slightly jealous when they talk to others and act close to each other and maybe even flirt openly. Especially I enjoy yuri like this (mostly because it's just written more on the emotional side of a romance rather than just going on with gender stereotypes which weirdly enough bl has in the few novels I read and bg almost always has to the point where I just stopped reading bg outright but I digress) BUT IT ALL GETS RUINED FOR ME FAST WHEN THEY GET TOGETHER I dunno why. But I don't like the main pairing getting together at all and just prefer them see each other a comfortable distance away. So, I am specifically requesting for novel recommendations where the main ship gets teased hard, like really hard, like we KNOW they have a thing for each other but the author never goes through with it and the main couple ends up being just very close but single.
I'm gonna to set a camp too! The closest thing of this trope that i know is the beginning and middle part of Ending Maker.
same here but with all types of it -other than harem- the moment they discover what they actually feel towards each others and all the misunderstandings are resolved the novel loses it's allure and reading it would feel like reading a plain romance
We have common taste!! When they get together things getting 'annoying' and not make me 'squeal' but more disappointed I dont know much about novel, so this is mix of manga and novel. I think gekkan shoujo nozakikun fits the bills, gakuen babysitter. ORV done that, but it is more of bl than gl If you are okay with shounen ai, golden days
