i don't usually have trouble falling asleep (maybe because i'm pretty young)but creating random scenarios in my head usually do the trick. For example you could imagine with your eyes closed what it would be like transmigrating into your favorite novel. it that doesn't work sometimes i read a book (not one thats online but a actual book) not usually paperback, i have a kindle so... but that tires my eyes. I would definitely go for a not so engaging book or else you may stay up all night finishing it but those methods work for me. Also I would sleep with your phone and other devises in another room I guess you could exercise before bed so your tired as well?
Too true. If I don't go for a walk during the day then I have trouble sleeping. Also limiting the time in front of computer screen would help too but I'm not very good with that.
Agree But we need to stay up later into the night to do something or another every few while, and once it happened it's too easy for the cycle to get out of sync and it could be hard to get back
but then we start to make it a habit and swap our sleep cycles. Binge reading novels is a thing i like to do. to stay healthy. i try to limit my reading to while on the treadmill or bikes.
if it gets too good of a story. I will binge read to the most recent chapter. The reason why I don't update the wikias that I am in charge of is that I am saving it to binge read. Sometimes I read the raws too when I can't wait. I have the context clue making ability to read and understand.
Try these, esp the military method. Takes some practice. If you have a HR monitor (Fitbit or whatever), you'll notice your pulse going down pretty rapidly to resting rate, down to 60s depending on your age. https://www.healthline.com/health/healthy-sleep/fall-asleep-fast#10-secs-to-sleep
