I’ve wanted to download it for a while but never did it . I just wanna know if the game is worth it ? Is there multiple things to do ? Is the gameplay fun ? Also some tips on everything ?
I don't play Genshin Impact. But it's free, so technically in a monetary sense, it is. Because it is free. Entertainment-wise, I've heard very great things from players about the game. There should be a lot of things to do. It is open-world, and you have multiple characters you can choose to play (and switch to). There are quests to complete, monsters to grind, and from what I've been told, the characters and lore are exceptionally written. Gameplay is a lot more diverse since it is a three-dimensional open world, especially so because gacha games generally always remain in two-dimensions. I'd suggest you watch some of the gameplay online, and see whether it interests you or not. P.S. Try your best to avoid becoming addicted to gacha if you cannot back it up with money. You will curse yourself for bad luck if you do not roll your favourite character on a rate-up banner.
As an avid, slightly addicted, Genshin Impact player, I say that The game is incredibly fun while there's still story to do. I've caught up with the main line and most of the side quests, and I'm just kind of waiting for new content to come out. When I first downloaded it, I played the current storyline in about a week, so I would say, the gameplay is fun. There are also side quests, and hangout quests, which are formatted in a way where it feels similar to a romance game(Especially Noelle's).
From my experience with the game from the beginning till now, it is fun but slightly time gated. I have a f2p and an account that i spent money with and they both are fun to play with. Its just the f2p, you have to plan your resources since beginning of the game otherwise at the end game you will need to take a week of farming to catch up for big mistakes in the beginning. I won't get into too much details on the tips because youtube has so much resources on those things. Just use gacha gamer and enviosity for the main part for f2p tips. You can go to tenha, asianguygenshin, mogawty for general opinions. There is a guy specialising in chongyun if you plan to play with that specific character. There also is the 'jinjinx and tuner', 'iwintolose gaming' for math and practical demonstration. Oh and i forgot to mention its super heavy with the lore and storyline so there is a manhwa and videos on the main youtube page as well as in game. I am a more of a grinding player so i ignore all storylines and lore and just skip past all of the texts. Sorry but i can't help you on that front. There are a lot of events and weekly and daily activities coming soon in the next patch 1.5 with a lot of quality of life improvement coming in. So now is a good time to start a week before the new patch to get to adventure rank 20 and enjoy the new events. Just a warning. Please link your account to an email a mobile device account (google account/apple account) a facebook account and a twitter account. This is not a joke but the hacking scene is rampant right now because mihoyo has put 2fa on every aspect of their platform near the beginning of the game except the genshin impact game log in. But they claim to want to implement it within the next patch... other than that it is a fun and enjoyable rpg game that is addictive. Currently AR55 with a lot of max accession characters on both of my accounts. My paid account has been hacked but it was a small matter because i got the things i wanted anyways so it was fine and i managed to take back my account with ease because i linked most of the social media stuff. Just fyi if you plan to play f2p then aim for the good and easy to use 4* characters in the character event rate up banner. The 4* in the game are sometimes better than the 5* characters depending on the team composition. My f2p account is actually much stronger than my paid account when dealing consistent dps but the downside is i have less characters and i aimed to c6 these 4* characters during rate up banners and roll only when 2 of my 4* are on rate up... and they are using craftable weapons only.
Play it after another year. It is a solo progression game. Not much content right now and the developer are delaying the contents to milk it. Multiplayer is very boring and only have temporary coop events. I quit already and just waiting for Inazuma update to play again.
I am an avid player.. Honestly I never been this committed to a game before, but I do find GI really addicting. But beware of gacha hell, once you're in be sure to practice self control. Also the gameplay and story are pretty amazing. Mine favorite is during the Dragonspine 1.3, though I am excited for 1.5 with the housing system and all
Well, it's quite a good game if you set aside your hope of getting your fav gacha characters (the rate is very bad). Story wise, it's great. A bit too many chars IMO, but still ok because they have their own story. Updates can be faster though, I always think they delay it on purpose . Overall, a good play if you don't gacha too much. I just felt that it's ironic that their biggest competitor is their own previous game (HI3). Oh right, never talk about HI3 in GI community and vice versa, there are many zealots there.
Hi, Day 1 f2p player here. I have waited for that game since beta, it didn't disappoint me. I like the lore and graphics style the more. Gameplay is not that hard but it's fun to experiment with team compositions. Pro: Genshin is most fun where there's a new map to explore or a new story quest to do. You'll have fun getting lost in the map finding stuff. Some events are fun but nothing beats exploration. Con: The world will feel quite empty after you're done exploring. By that time you'll be in time-gated content hell. Some other players find it too monotonous (though personally I don't find it that bad) Oh, and you should hope your luck stats is high, Mihoyo is not that generous with the wishing currency. Unless ofc you got disposable income at hand. Whales play a different game...
sense of exploration = fun. doing dailies so you can keep up with the power grind = not fun. I played for two months then quit because I explored most of the content and the only thing left was the daily/weekly/monthly grind. It also took me a few accounts at the start to get some decent characters on the first few draws. I mean, technically all the characters aside from Amber are at least ok, but if you only get buffers and no dps dealers, the grind takes even longer to do.
If you have money, go get Breath of the Wild. If you're a poor person, then Genshin Impact will scratch that itch. Save Paimon for emergency food. Appreciate the lolis. Watch out for the FBI.
Mm, it's fun! I've been playing since October last year and although there's not much to do at my AR/level, we still get some new events and updates every now and then. Hope the third city (Inazuma) comes soon~ I have three tips! Don't spend your money/mora recklessly. Once you get to a high enough level, 3 million mora can be easily spent with a few clicks... Save your starglitter (what you get from summoning duplicates)! Instead of using them to get intertwined/acquaintance fates, save them for when a character you like appears in the shop (which refreshes every month). At the beginning you might be obsessed with getting characters, but just keep in mind that if you play long enough, you'll get everyone (or at least all the 4-stars) eventually. Focus on making one character your strongest damage dealer, but also keep in mind that you may switch to a different one later on, so don't overinvest and pour all your resources into him/her.
So there's this funny incident revolving me and my starglitter... I really liked Hu Tao. I saved for Hu Tao. Like I didn't roll since Albedo's banner for her since I have hard guarantee. I'm so scared someone would spook my guarantee. Then, here comes her banner. It took me pity to get her and almost spent all the primogems. I got her on Day 1 though so there were more events to farm. But one night, last day of the banners, weakness hit me, and I really wanted to give Hu Tao her spear even though I never rolled in the weapon banner... coz there's no real guarantee to get the weapon you want. There I was, with my little primogems, only got me as far as 30 rolls in the weapon banner, saw my stack of starglitter that I never touched since Day 1, I cashed them all in... dump them into the weapon banner... at pity, there's was a golden wish! I was talking myself out of expectation, "Don't worry self, wolf gravestone is fine as well, or any other 5* would do" Then, my game crashed. I didn't see what came out of the wish. I immediately opened the game again, still convincing myself not to hope, then I saw which weapon I got. I GOT HOMA! I GOT HOMAAAAA AAAAHHHH!!! I was so happy lmao. In the middle of the night, I don't even have anyone to share that coz my friends are already asleep. Even if I got the short end of the stick by giving up the star glitter, I really feel satisfied with giving my waifu her spear
Oh wow, that's amazing!!! Congrats~!! 5* charas really reach their highest potential (not talking about constellations because only whales have the right to talk about them *coughcough) when you get their 5* weapon~
It was actually my 1st and only 5* weapon, free wishes in the standard banner gave me Mona twice. I even got Mona in my beginner banner... I now have c3 Mona. I remember thinking in the early days that I won't roll in weapon banners and since standard banners give 5* weapons...
*can't decide whether to call you lucky or unlucky* Yeah, same for me. I thought I wouldn't ever roll in the weapons banner too, until I realized my DPSs had such low numbers compared to others' because my weapons weren't up to par.
I consider myself lucky. Fake it until you make it hahahaha. Whales definitely play a different game than normal players with their R5 weapons and C6 characters. It's fun to watch some showcases even if we can't reach that standard
Well, a C3 Mona sounds great if she's your DPS. Aside from those unreachable stats, they also have those finicky combinations (eg Bennett burst + Barbara basic + Sucrose skill + DPS burst etcetc) and iframes...Then there's me mashing the buttons, sprinting everywhere, and trying to spin in circles to trigger the iframes.
Button mashing team It is enough, genshin isn't that hard outside of the Abyss. Even the last event, Contending tides is doable with a decent dps haha. I just want Inazuma to come faster, I miss exploring. Finding chests, seelies, puzzles
