If she was still engaged to the fiancee, yet romantically involved with the other prince, then she was cheating. Still, it's funny if the one who cheated was the guy, people would call him scumbag, but if it was the MC who cheated, they would came up with reasons, like, "he was cold to her", "the engagement was forced", etc.

Her father is the formal head of the family, but as far as he’s married into this family, MC is the only real heir of the Marquisate after her mother’s death, no big decisions can be done without her approval, but all finances and household are ruled by father. The jewelry box reacts only to the real owner, so it can be opened only by MC. It has jewelry left by her mother. The cousin wants to see it and take something for herself but MC doesn’t allow it. Spoiler: my assumption I think it’s pretty obvious already that the cousin might be father’s daughter, not niece. They also look too much alike and there’s a story of him cutting ties with his family before coming to the capital, could be because he had an affair with his brother’s wife. I’m not sure yet if MC is his real daughter, because it’s weird how he likes “the cousin” and hates MC, but maybe there’s again a backstory about mother who was blinded by love and made him marry her. But I honestly hope it’s not this cliche case.
