So, I am in need of assistance. By any chance, do you know how to type these 『』symbols on an android phone? I know the uni codes for a computer, but I desprately need it for my phone right now. Some things I already know: I can get these regular Japanese quotation marks on here already (「」) by changing my on-screen keyboard's language. I just can't find where the (『』) are. I am copy and pasting them, but I can't keep doing that. Help. On an android phone. Please!
Oh, ctrl+shift+u all at once. Then type in 300c for 「 and 300d for 」. For the 『』press ctrl+shift+u again and then press 300e for the left one and F for the right one. Then press space.
? You need space. It works on a chromebook.... Here: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Japanese_typographic_symbol Ctrl+shift+u at one time. The u should be underlined. Now, no spaces, you type the 300c or 300d or 300e or 300f after it. u300c or u300d Now, after typing that all in, press space...
For those on windows, characters are entered differently. For 「 and 」, you just have to hold ctrl and type the number that represents it (162 and 163 respectively). i.e. 「 = alt + 162; 」 = alt + 163. Edit: Nevermind, this only works if you have your system locale set to Japanese because these are just the basic ASCII codes. Otherwise these print different characters depending on your system locale.
yes local system must jp go try local system arabic lol for phone have you try download keyboard for jp language system? if your android doesn't have it how in hell you can type it?
For an android, make sure your virtual keyboard is set to japanese then press the symbol key. you should get things like numbers and symbols like 123 or !@#. At the top of the virtual keyboard you should be able to switch to the "()" tab. You'll find it there. Note that this depends on which virtual keyboard you have. There is google input or swiftkey or such. But for the most part, you'll be able to find a boat load of symbols once you look deeper into the keyboard.
