I've always loved it when authors wrote stories about redemption or just stuff about a character's journey in life. Stories like vinland saga where the main character understands what he did was wrong and tries to fix the problem he has instead of running from them. Or in Vagabond where the main character questions himself in every thing, from the way he holds his sword to the reason as to why he fights at all. I've been on novel updates for a while and to be honest al lot of the stuff I see is really overrated-I just don't see the appeal. I want a human story that where the mc can grow as person or at least some self reflection. No harem, no yaoi or yuri or ecchi stuff. Thanks dudes

Well sadly yes but to me it was bearable enough to read the whole thing. If you can bear with it you'll enjoy it.
The Devil Is a Part-Timer - NU Crime And Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky Fallen Angels series by J. R. Ward All The Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr
Bruh. I can't do that one. I've tried it but seeing how the mc treats the underaged kids is messed up. Sure, he gets better with his social anxiety but his attitudes and behavior towards women and children is seriously messed up. I thought the story was going to tackle that but it actively frames it as something comedic and never addresses the underlying issue. Thanks for the rec tho
