I personally don’t think he’s full on evil (at least up to this point). The abuse he suffers at the hands of Gaultier is different but still abuse (both physical and psychological). Yes, he wanted to use Hilise and didn’t care about her but he saved her from her family and catered to her needs nonetheless.

 

Usually in these stories you get 2nd chances, but she actually got 8 chances LOLLL. That's too generous even in my book.
