Spoiler: Low down of what happened after chapter 2~ so from first chapter we know that song jianing is the concubine to Guo xiao but now in current life she try to make sure that her mother don’t die. Which end up making Guo xiao father’s Guo buyan(?) falling in love with female lead’s mother and willing to marry her as main wife and treat female lead as his true born. Spoiler: The situations in Guo family~ So unlike in other story where the family is villain, this Guo family everyone is pretty good or ok. They end up getting used to the mother-daughter duo and even warm up to them. Even the old madam end up doting over Jianing and approve of her mother (we gonna call the mother as Mother Lin from now on). Spoiler: The children so Guo buyan already have a wife that died around 10 years ago. So ofc he gonna have children. Lemme tell you about them: >Guo Xiao: the oldest son and is the man that Jianing served for 7 years in the past life. Jianing still scared of him and try to avoid him as much as possible. But he end up wanting her so much that he go as far as ruining her reputation so that she can’t marry and only end up with him. The male lead and the father know about it and put a stop to it asap, but alas the chapters still long. >Tian feng: the daughter, at first she on guard with new step mom but when she see how gentle Lin is and how chubby and cute Jianing is, she end up liking them and be the best sister possible. She also get marry to a man name Han and move to border with her husband and seem to live well. Spoiler: Other children of other branch So: > so there another 2 branch of family that live together and the children is: Guo su & Guo fu (twin sons), Lan feng (daughter), and Yan feng(also daughter) in all of this, Yan feng (3rd girl aka daughter of third branch) seem to be jealous of Jianing. Because she have better life and look better (even marry better) Also Lin (female lead mother) also give birth to another son for the Guo family, name: Guo mao (a chubby happy boy)
Spoiler: The real maternal family of Guo xiao Tan family is the maternal side of the family, and they are not as powerful or rich like Guo family and so they try everything to keep the link strong. While the son and daughter warm up to Lin and her daughter, Aunt Tan try to whisper non sense but luckily no one give a flying f about her. Her daughter Tan xiangyue (?) try to seduce Guo xiao and then try to seduce the male lead but the male lead don’t even look at her. So now her reputation is out of the window. Spoiler: How Tan xiangyue get her reputation ruin. For Guo xiao she try to play “cousin” cards but Guo xiao show his face that is colder then winter and don’t even reply to her. For the male lead she try to drop her handkerchief and open her veil to seduce but he don’t even look at her and just left. And princess ( from first chapter) mock her in front of everyone. And most of the chapters is just slowly show how she grow up and how the male lead like her. Spoiler: Male lead ok, so the male lead is the third prince and his mother is the late Concubine Xian. He was born stuttering so the emperor don’t really adored him that much but try to once in a while to care for him. Also around chapter 100 to 105 they get marry. And boy of boy, he have no ideas how to consummated correctly. So the start of their wedding life is a bit....rough.
