I don't understand why some people let their dogs lick their faces, considering what else dogs lick... What about their boyfriend/girlfriend afterwards, do they still kiss not having cleaned? Disgusting.
That's one of the major things I don't like about dogs. They always try to lick my face, and their owners just think it's a normal thing. The leg humping and barking is also pretty annoying, so overall dogs aren't really my thing.
As long as they're not licking their dogs, it's fine I guess. Surely, ass licking is far more gross, and yet it doesn't stop people from doing it.

No point in training them against it, that's how they show affection, fine if they lick your legs or hands, just wash them and don't let them lick your face.

I have a cat and sometimes she licks my hair or skin (never my face directly), which is...not the best feeling. My hair gets caught in her mouth since it's really long and her tongue is so rough too so I generally don't let her do it. I wouldn't want to be licked all over my face with disgusting dog slobber either.

I mean dogs tongues have some level of anti-bacterial and anti-septic properties so they aren't too bad to be licked by. Unlike a Komodo Dragon! But yeah just don't let them lick your face~ My favoured method of doing this is grabbing the dogs tongue~
