Discussion Am I the only one who hates runny yolks ??

Where I'm from , making eggs with runny yolks isn't a thing but curiosity got the better of me and I tried it . It was buttery but I found its taste to be boderline ' WTF am I tasting ? ' . Is its taste overhyped or acquired ?

Emm, for me, I just don't like over hard eggs~ Hard to swallow sometimes!

 

Runny yolks are the way to go in my opinion. My mom doesn't like them too so I had most of my eggs fully cooked throughout my childhood. Once I started cooking on my own I realized that runny yolk tastes a lot better. It doesn't have to be fully runny either, even just a little bit of yolk that isn't hard makes a lot of difference.

 

Yea, I quite like it very much. Don't know what you're talking about.

Edit: Also as the above person said, it's actually better to have it be partially runny than fully runny. But maybe that's just because I question whether it's properly cooked or not when its fully runny.

 

Runny yolks for me! Like runny yolks, well done whites, you eat the whites then you dip your bread on the runny yolk~ Yummm

 

I don't like the taste of the egg-yolk period, I only have my eggs whisker or scrambled, the taste of pure yolk is just bleh! I've still tried runny yolk, def 0/10

I definitely like my yolk runny rather than cooked. Which is why I also like eating soft-boiled eggs more than hard-boiled eggs or onsen tamagos
Also I sometimes like to let the egg yolk explode in my mouth or mix the mixture iwth my rice to coat it in its delicious goodness

 

Runny yolk is sunny side up right?

I don't like them as well. Sometimes, the eggyolk will get stuck in my throat, it's hard to swallow.

But I love sunny side up, with half cooked yolk. Esp on rice, then bath it with sousauce.

Goes well with toast or bacon. Just a little dip adds to the flavor

 

I love all types! But if I was asked if runny or hard, may it be sunny side or boiled, then I'd prefer runny

 

If it's not solid I have to force myself to swallow it

 

Runny yolk eggs taste good when mixed with noodles or rice ^^ I like it a lot~

 

I did try it with toast . It was a bread wetter .
