Nice runny yolk clings to the tongue in quite the unique way, with a rather intense taste compared to the egg whites providing an amazing contrast.
To me that is quite the amazing taste, but it needs to be slightly seasoned so it's not only the taste of runny yolk. Fully done yolks are rather unimpressive with how they are way too dry and crumbly.

I do get your point but compared to the flavour of a fluffy omelet or just a simple scrambled the comparative blandness of a seasoned runny yolk isn't it for me . But to each one his own :blobokhand:

Depends on what I'm eating with it, if I'm eating it alone, or just what mood. :b
    I like making my eggs over easy mostly, since I don't want to make a mess and am usually in a hurry to eat. I like runny yolk eggs in my ramen since it is easier to blend the flavours together~ And when I'm eating eggs and toast, I usually like putting the eggs on the toast, and depending on my mood, I'll have a runny yolk or not with the toast. :}

    That's delicious!

Im not that great in cooking. Actually I can only cook eggs and noodles. And whener I cook eggs, it's either burn or raw.

    Hahaha...

    But this one looks delicious.

I’ve been eating runny yolk all my life I like it I’m my opinion . I know some people don’t like it since it feels slime to them but personally I don’t mind it . Poach egg with a runny yolk is something that reminds me of my childhood since I ate it so often .

Extremely runny yolk is justt :aww::aww::aww:!
Especially when you put it in a still-hot udon or porridge, like you simply open a raw egg on it and watch how they slowly cook it until it reach the perfect runny-ness. Yummy! Ψ(≧ω≦)Ψ

Acquired taste for me. Hated my eggs anything other than overcooked when I was a kid. Now I prefer the white fully cooked and the yolk fully liquid or as close to it as I can get.

I like my eggs at soft boiled/ almost firmed. Not runny, runny eggs makes me feel paranoid that I will get salmonella.

It's part acquired, partly, you're supposed to eat it together with other things.
    Some good combos are:

Runny yolked egg with a bit of black pepper and toast to soak up the yolk.

With a bit of Tabasco sauce (hot sauce) and corn tortillas. Once it's on the plate, open the top of the yolk and put the hot sauce directly into the yolk, stir, and then eat with the tortilla.

    With some Mayo and rice.
With some soy sauce and rice.

The last two are short because I'm still trying them out more. I recommend trying the toast and hot sauce routes first.

Edit: it you don't like it lightly seasoned, maybe you tend to like more seasoning? Try it with lots of black pepper or hot sauce.

Uhm.... how exactly does the shape of yolk change the taste? After all, isn't it still just yolk?

Don't like it if the yolk is too runny. It feels like I am having a raw egg :hmm:. So, I prefer having yolk that is somewhat runny. It goes well with bread:cookie:

I don't like them runny either.
For me the best one is when the yolk is still orange/haven't turned opaque yet, so they are still soft and not too crumbly.

runny yolk is only good for appearance since sunny side up egg looks horrible fully cooked.

as long as you get the right cook on the yolk it gets a much more deeper taste i've had some disgusting runny yolks too so i know how it tastes but once you get that right amount of heat... the texture and taste is heavenly

a man of culture i see

runny yolks are really good when paired up with something else that has a strong flavor as it somewhat tones it down like bacon or sausage,,, scrambled and omelet are good too but when eating strong flavored side like any sort of cured meat, it becomes overwhelming at times

Yup..... I've almost never eaten my eggs runny.... And the only times I've eat it I haven't liked it that much... I'm a picky eater and once I dislike something ,I never touch that thing again no matter what....

It can be both.... I think at first it was badly cooked then it turned into a plain hatred:blobhero::blobhero::blobhero: just like me...
Ofc it can be different for ya:cookie::cookie::cookie:

try putting some olive oil in the pan. olive oil cooks really fast so make sure to watch the eggs closely, but it should take less than 5 minutes to cook to your preference
try some red and/or black pepper and just a pinch of salt. lately ive been making omelets with a bit of spinach inside as well
