I've seen this novel and read a few chapters before choosing to put it on hold because im not sure whether or not i should invest time reading 2000+ chapters or not i particularly dislike novels who get boring/repetitive as i like to finish and see through the endings of everything i read. So I'm trying to ask whether or not should i read this?

 

Absolutely yes, this novel never get repetitive(except from the fact that mc died XXX times for various reasons). The best Chinese WN out there without any character with IQ below zero and none of the old characters were forgotten as mc raising his cultivation stage.

 

It really depends on what you mean by boring and repetitive I suppose. There are running jokes all over the place, but I don't think any of them have become stale. There's some scenarios that happen multiple times, but not to the point that it feels unoriginal, and certainly not to the degree that any face slapping or standard xianxia antagonism scenario gets repeated.

Honestly, I'd just give it a shot. Its got lots of fun characters, and new things are happening pretty much constantly. Alternatively, its got a pretty good manga that shouldn't be nearly as much of a commitment.

 

Thanks i'll try checking out the manga then. I generally don't have much free time rl so i tend to be meticulous in choosing novels to read

I would recommend novel. It's not like manhwa is not faithful, but it's bit too much slapstick cartoony, which hurts mood a lot imho.

And honestly CChG is definitely worth. You wouldn't be able find other novel with world building and story this good. Personally I rank CChG even above Spirit Sword Mountain and 40 millenniums of cultivation. Though again I wouldn't say that about manhwa adaptation.

I understand that efficiency wasn't really the point, but using Nine Virtues Phoenix Saber purely as support was even more wasteful and excessive than sending out Senior Scarlet Heaven Sword...

I mean that the NVPS could easily have killed all of them with the first strike. He literally had to hold it back to prevent it from accidentally doing so.

Interesting, pavilion master chu 2 was not looking for pavilion master Chu's head for the self completion purpose but rather, for their cultivation path, it doesn't need to be an original head but any head will to for the cultivation... And getting the head of senior skylark is much more better than getting the original becuz it already have the power or hint of "eternal" which will help further her immortal cultivation.
