Whenever I started hating a character on a novel/manga and wanted to drop it, I always reminded myself that 'ahh.. it's for the plot', and then I continue to read some and drop the others that I really can't tolerate. It's just that easy, tho it's only my opinion. Readers these days are too serious, don't read it if u don't like it, shame on those readers who criticize the story and the author when they are not even paying for it and just read it for free. Sorry, I just really need to let it out.
not entirely. the way they were described feels like they were decided to be together to keep the blood line intact. blood purity is a thing for nobles. but they can be considered from the outside as childhood sweethearts. just, politics just changed them and fucked them up oTL like expectations and familial pressure (or misguided and outdated beliefs rolled in to a blunt of anxiety).
Thanks @Fayfay for all the spoilers . I really love this story, it’s more realistic than other novels, the characters aren’t perfect. ML isn’t the prefect king from a novel that have no defaults and is only super good to FL. Berta is a REAL queen, i love her so much. The prince is just so cute also. One of the problems of Harold is the lack of communication with Berta, even though it’s justified, still it’s also good from the author because it’s just make things more realistic. The problem that occurred between the couple wasn’t a stupid misunderstanding like we would see in most of jp and k-novels. Hope someone will pick the manga up again and continue translating~

Know that I think about it I think this is the first manga read that talks about incense. Like where is the logic that comes from having sex with your cousin or uncle will produce a better heir. It didn't work out for the Hadsburgs and clearly is not working up for the first queen.
One thing that I don't understand is why Berta's father had to be made to look this old while the King (MC's husband) is looking like a young teenager. I mean the dad and her husband have only five years of difference between them yet just to emphasise the 'dad image' for the young princess, he had to be drawn as such while the other is drawn as a flawless character without a single wrinkle. 30-35 isn't the age for wrinkles and isn't that old, the artist did the Dad real dirty. ༎ຶ‿༎ຶ #justicefordad
well, im not sure but according to NU profile of the novel, both WN (web novel) and LN (light novel) are ongoing. what im reading now is the WN but the LN has two volumes that looks to me to be completed, so am not 100% sure here. EDIT: oh, actually the LN is also ongoing, the 3rd volume just got available on amazon this month.

It looks like the WN has completed. The 3rd volume might contain a story from Louis's point of view when he is an adult. I MTL the chapters so I'm not so sure
