I think it is his old mascot that died because the guide all to make Liam suffer, but most likely it spirit stayed with him and got stronger by feeding out of the love he always had for it even after dead (like the guide feed of bad ones) and became it guardian spirit (maybe an lower god?) It is already confirmed by how it always hide that it is just watching so the guide do not mess up with him like the katana, or throwing an paper to guide in order to mess up his plans from the shadow as an revenge? At least that is what I have gotten so far from the dog?

I think that Liam won't know who she is till the very end. Furthermore maybe by the end of this arc he might be feared as an evil God and enshrining Amagi as a Goddess and their holy vestments is the maid uniform.

Really? I didn't know and it was just a guess.
And the reason for my guess is
1. Liam and Leon has the same archetype and that is unless it was pointed out they will never know. This my reason for him not knowing that she was her previous life's daughter.
2. I know for a fact that Liam will definitely be an ass after killing the Maou and then took over the kingdom or something and everyone should be killed for his kidnapping or for the heck of it destroy the whole planet and Amagi is the only 1 of 2 character in the whole story Liam listen too (Yasushi is the other) and scold him and they must return him ASAP. And because of this Amagi would be enshrined as a goddess

I will say though that since Liam is OP enough with his flash technique and the red herring of the distreas beacon making it possible for him to return, he will have to fix his issue of descendants which means a harem shenanigans that sadly wouldnt happen.
