Hello! So there's this particular transmigration novel I've been wanting to re-read, specifically one of it's arcs. (P.S. if there's anyone interested in this novel who hasn't read it yet, very spoiler heavy stuff below!!) The novel has a zombie arc, where the original body that MC transmigrates to was a doctor who did multiple inhumane experiments on multiple subjects, one of them ending up being ML. In the 'original route' the doctor kills ML before (I think) getting killed somehow, and both ML and the shou of that world get reborn from the beginning of their story. Cue MC, who transmigrates in the doctor's body just before he kills ML in the first run. ML still dies, but he ends up becoming a ghost who tails the MC in his last days. He sees that the MC works hard to find the cure for the virus, and is being accompanied/taken care of by a co-worker (?), before the MC dies of over-exhaustion the same day after finding the formula for the cure. Newly re-incarnated, ML sets out to find MC in their base, hoping to reunite with him. We find out that the co-worker who helped MC also got transmigrated, along with MC of course.
