I started to read "Life Isn't So Simple Anymore" by CaptainBoyHole in royalroad, and was reminded of Teppu a manga I read long ago and liked a lot and when I went looking for something similar never found, so this time I'm trying asking hoping better luck. Has somebody read something with a female fighter?, it doesn't matter if is fantasy or not but the MC is good in a martial art or combat sport and this is her primary way of fighting, and it keeps being that way through the novel. Sorry for the odd request and thanks in advance!
Azarinth Healer - Female MC who fights melee for most of the book. Even later it's still a form of melee. (On Royalroad)
https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/16946/azarinth-healer - she's a punchy fighter because she used to do kickboxing at the gym for exercise. Her primary powerset (healing) evolved to let her inject destructive mana via impacts from her arms and legs. Her secondary powerset (ash manipulation) later evolved so she can use ash tendrils (ala Doc Octopus) for additional melee contact, in addition to ash projectiles for a bit of ranged damage.
I'm following Azarinth Healer (and like it a lot), but I dropped Stunning Edge (didn't like it >_<). But in the Azarinth Healer her way of fighting right now is not martial arts even tought at the start was kick boxing (i think, i don't remember) is more like a combination self-healing and magic (even thought she fights melee). Want I want is more like a character that doesn't have magic and has to find a way to overcome it, or maybe choose a physical way to use magic. Thanks for your reply!
I removed it because I remembered I didn't like it either, it starts getting worse as it goes on.......... And I don't remember reading any plain martial arts Female MC novel...... I think I'll check out "Life isn't so simple anymore" If you aren't too particular, there's this but it's predominantly leading people and romance rather than fighting. A Mistaken Marriage Match: A Generation of Military Counselor
Give it a read is good, is updating but the autor often drops his fictions U.U A Mistaken Marriage Match: A Generation of Military Counselor Read it too, liked it a lot
You could try The Power of Ten in RoyalRoad. There’s a different main character for each book, and the first two protagonists were extremely talented swordswomen that couldn’t use magic.
This sounds a LOT like "The power of five" by Anthony Horowitz...... It's about five different characters who come together in the fifth book.
Oyaji Kanojo - might suit your fancy if you don't mind it's a gender bender (male MC dies, wakes up in the body of a girl who was in a coma). Only problem is the translator dropped it a long time ago, and nobody has picked it back up, so you won't be getting to most of the martial arts stuff until that happens. Or you MTL it.
570 it looks like? I've only read up to 223 because it felt like a nice stopping point for what I wanted to read. I'm not a huge martial arts fan, and the story is mostly fights or lead-ups to fights.
For a Prosperous World To be fair this is a genderbender story and the protagonist never really feels that she's female but we never see her male persona so I'd say that this book would qualify. Fancy martial arts are the only kind of power in the book and the protagonist's skills are very strong right from the get go.
