Looking around and can't seem to find any novels I find interesting in genres I like(action, adventure, fantasy, and maybe sci fi) when in the past could find one every now and then. Anyone have that issue?

it happens to everyone. my go to is to look at tags and try out something that has a lot of chapters translated. if a thousand chapters are out then people must like it so why not give it a shot and see if it's good.

Not in the slightest for me. I have so many books on my waiting list that it's hard to make time for all the interesting ones. In fact, I've already bumped back all the ones I'm lukewarm on so I probably won't get to them for another couple of years. It does help that I'm not limited to books that are on NU.

I find that asking for recommendations doesn't help me much. Very few people on NUF have the same interests I have and most of them will just bring up the same few books.

Not really. i usually skimmed the tag and description myself and maybe having a mainstream taste of romance fantasy helps :blobxd:

i don't have problem to find interesting novels (based on my taste. i'm not a picky reader).

    my real problem is :

    FINISHING WHAT I READ! :blobhero:

(i have short attention span and busy irl rn . and opening book platforms only hinder my reading progress because i automatically browse for new novels then start to piling up tickets or bookmark. my waiting list is enough for 2 years, maybe..)

That's happened to me on more than 1 occasion.

My advice, try another medium. Aka, go to traditionally published novels for awhile and search. Try Manhua/Manhwa/Manga. Audiobooks. English Original Webnovels. Fanfiction. You will find works there that are far less common in this community and will be of stellar quality. Each medium has its own strengths so you find different but still really good stories. Then after you gone down the rabbit hole there you can return to searching here in however many months or years it takes and you will be refreshed and find new novels not released back when you couldn't find anything to read. You'll find things that at the time you thought you wouldn't enjoy but because you branched out you see novels you skipped over before in a new light.

2 of my favorite books ever and my all time favorite Book series were found this way. I jumped mediums and found something that wouldn't be my normal and hot damn did it payoff. Admittedly I stepped in some real bad shit too but hey, that happens here too.

Switch up your media. Mostly tired of novels right now, so I'm mainly focusing on manga and webtoons nowadays. I read what I like and I try to avoid "hype". I should be able to start at any point and continue to be interested

Yeah, similar issue here. There are a lot of books I've piled up, but I just don't feel like starting to read any of them. In the end, I read something else (like some other people here say, from other medium) to quench my thirst for reading.

I have hundreds of novels waiting to be started, but I don't have the time for them, so... Not really, not even close to that. My current Reading List will probably last me the rest of my life tbh.

That's what I'm doing even using mtl to look for hidden good novels.

I do still read manga/manhwa/manhua if they interest me though much to my annoyance most are cultivation manhua.

There are 287 novels bookmarked by me but I lose interest in them so I will wait till I want to read them
Also I think first try to search by tags etc not only in nu but other sites also
then ask for reccomendation cause someone might give novels which were missed by tags

    Expand your search range.
    1) Look in different locations. Different website, libraries, bookstores.
    2) Look for different mediums other than novels. Comics, animation, live-action, games.
    2) Look for genres that will have share similar themes to your favorite genres. Historical and horror genres might have a number of books to your fancy.
    3) Look at your favorite authors and see if they wrote novels in other genres. There's a good chance you'll like it if you liked the author's style even if the genre isn't interesting at first glance.
    4) Take a break from your favorite genres and try something a bit different. A romance novel with some fantasy elements, for instance, or a detective story with some action scenes.

This is how I look for new porn.

Actually I read all novels that I wanted, and I'm really struggling to find something good.... I feel like the more you read, the more strict you become, and so, Its turn to be hard to find 'good novels'...
