Meanwhile, Alphonse is always so calm and cool while the Nutcase CP is behaving like a complete idiot.

not necessarily, sometimes can be the one of the fonder houses. Maybe they have some royalty as ancestors or other are brothers of the previous emperor or actual emperor. If the crown prince is put aside, the first in line should the be brother of the emperor and his descendants or the son of the sister, if the emperor is only child, then we need to set our eyes to eventual uncles of the emperor. Alphonse can have the rights only if he has an ancestor who has royal blood or parents with royal blood
after reading a ton of spoilers about the side stories I'm literally gonna freak out if we can't see it into manhwa and if those are our last moments alongside Chloe and Alphonse.... Though I'd respect the author and would totally get it but still gosh I'm feeling like "yeah I'm sure there're gonna be side stories" but then I think- Miss Not so sidekick didn't get those. Neither did The abandoned empress. Not Doctor Elise either. The villain's savior either. Not Adelaide. Nor The office blind date. And most of them (which had novels, like not TOBD's case for instance( all had side stories. all we can do is wait and hope I guess
It depends some times side stories can take up to a year to be published. But I am noticing a pattern of skipping side stories or "rushed" versions of them. It depens on the publishing company and of course the artist. I think sometimes the artist just wants to move on to another project. I think the office blind date will be releasing their side stories at some point.
