I don't know why but for some reason just seeing the guy (Van's look-alike) makes me mad for some reason. The guy took his credit, identity and power, and I know that he didn't mean it and most likely would've given it back if given a choice. But what I hate the most about the guy is him forcing people to do what he wants, like creating the bravers and some shit

 

he didn't do it on purpose.
the bravers also have their use to prevent the government from doing stuff. I don't deny that he made mistakes when he was gathering or leading them.
maybe you get mad because in most other storys the guys that to that, when they meet the one that was wronged, they behave like it always was supposed to be theirs despite knowing better. like the others in shild hero.

 

Prior to Amamiya scouting them out, the governments were steadily closing in on them and trying to secure them later on for various motives. He had a noble goal, but failed to take the other braver's feelings and goals into account. For example, he did not want them to abuse their abilities and be hunted down later. Their largest mistake was getting involved in the squabbles with other countries.

However, it all comes down to the fact that Rodcorte never told any of them about their life on Origin being a trial run before being sent to Lambda. He practically gave babies strategic war missiles to do whatever they wanted in that world without any rules. Amamiya simply had a strong sense of responsibility since he didn't think that he deserved that much fortune and wanted to use it for good.

He's oceans apart from Rikudou Avalon who wanted to research death magic, immortality, gods.

in the end he got to be part of 2 folks bigger than him.

 

They also only looked at the power not the personality, even Rodcorte's angels feels that if only they put Kaneko in Public relationship, maybe she will never betray Braver. Song is quite good propoganda tools after all.

...He didn't create the Bravers to sate his own ego, he created it to protect all of them. He became aware that several of them were being targeted for unknown reasons and he was unaware of who or how all of them became exposed so easily. A fact that in retrospect was entirely the work of Rikudo. Reread the part where Kanako reaccounts her time on Origin to the group of girls she tries to recruit as idols. All of the creepy things that happened to her were experiments being conducted by Rikudo, on how their blessings and unique abilities affected each other. Hiroto reasoning for creating the Bravers was justified, but ultimately he failed to protect anyone and failed to notice the threat to their existence was standing right next to him.

As for why Hiroto & Van looked so much alike, that'll likely never be explained, just like who the original John Connor and his father were. Remember Kyle Reese was born after John, making it impossible for Kyle to be John's original father. Kyle & John we follow in Terminator 1&2 were affected by the causality of time travel, while their original counterparts and the reason for the original time travel incident are details completely overlooked, in the Terminator mythology.

With that said, Hiroto is most likely a facsimile of Van sent by Ricklet & Zaruwarn, to stop Rodcorte from noticing who he was previously and thus overwrite his soul. As we've seen, slipping passed Rodecorte's non-existent defenses poses no challenge for Zaruwarn. Rodcorte himself was sure there were only one hundred of them. And it was the two of them that foretold the return of Zakkart to Vida and everyone else that'd listen. The facsimile itself (Hiroto) may not even be a copy, but an alternative timeline Van, sent back for that purpose. In which case Rodcorte's stupidity may have caused the demise of Lambda and sending back the version that already had his soul overwritten was the best option available.

Post story for that series is better than the main story story in my opinion. But enough talk about other series on the thread specifically fore death mage raw spoilers
