seems cute kinda reminds me of IRFD pls share spoilers don’t feel shy so here it is Spoiler so in the original, Priscilla is the original heroine and she’s the noble girl of a fallen house. she starts working at the duke’s state as a maid. and the duke, the original male lead Duke of Fenvernon was a talented swordsman born with magical powers and he was the lord of many vast lands in Grandia Empire. the emperor cared for him but was wary of him (your typical old man cunning emperor. so he was ridiculed and there were bad talks about him because he became the duke at a young age and he was known as cold and ruthless. so this is how the original story goes. the duke had a wife, it was a loveless and forced marriage by the emperor’s trick. his wife was a fallen noble count’s daughter. the emperor wanted to keep the duke in control by marrying him to a lady of lower status. so even though they were married the duke was cold to him and they were a couple just in name. but his wife dies at the river some years after their marriage and at that moment after her death the duke is filled with regret. he was really sad because she was her only family. so when the original FL Priscilla becomes a maid at the duke Rashid’s residence she discovers his sadness and falls in love with the duke, and after many obstacles (possible obstacles: the sadness of late ex-wife’s loss at Rashid’s heart, greedy emperor, difference in status and more) they get a happy ending together. (your typical love story novel) this is how it goes in the original story but now our MC transmigrated as Alyssa, the duke’s wife.
What happens after that? Did duke really loved his original wife, mc is another soul, right? Isn't it unfair for the original soul? I mean it was already unfair in the original plotline when duke fell in Love with his maid just because she is taking care of him, when he was completely an a**hole towards his wife and now acting as if he really treasured his late wife when she was still alive
I don't like the current behaviour of the ML cause he's Spoiler: Spoiler Rude af and way too cold. Spoiler: ML He has started to notice his wife though because of the change in her behaviour, the OG Alyssa [MC'S Name] was timid and weak Duchess but our MC is petty and giving cold comebacks at the ML. Hope, The ML gets a good character development.
I don't think he loved O!Alyssa. I think he probably just felt lonely and regretful after she died, but more to the feeling of throwing out an old table only to find once it's gone that it feels strange not having it there, and you subconsciously built up some sentimental attachment to it -- but in the end, it's just a table, you don't love it. This is honestly very typical, so that the ML can fall in love with the transmigrated MC without it being weird and creepy that he's loving the same body with a different soul. In the end, authors choose to make MLs heartless and detestable over "unclean".

Oh Mc got an interesting power. She can activly read the present rewries to the novel in her head as they happen. This is an interesting way for her to not suffer from the negative EQ points most transmigrators wind up getting.
Spoiler Story starts when Alyssa was supposed to die from falling into the river but somehow she survives. MC transmigrated by falling into the Han river. When she wakes up she had became Alyssa. After a week she has adjusted to her lifestyle and accepted the reality but she is worried about the main story of the novel, as she was supposed to die. She has been assisted by a maid since she woke up, named Laura (something with L but I don't remember correctly) . ML comes to see her after a week and ask about her health. She replies that she is fine and he don't have to worry. Since he anyway came after a week to enquire about her health. Then she suddenly gets a nosebleed and she feels dizzy. Doctor checks on her and finds that it was because of sudden change in emotions. Laura is taking care of her when MC starts seeing texts in the air about how Laura thinks that maybe MC may die. And anyway she is not suitable for duchess position. She only has to report to emperor. MC finds out that Laura is a spy from emperor. About the world: Five people killed a dragon and took one piece of dragon from them. These five people formed the five duchy of the current empire. And Rashid was one of them. As the generations passed the power of the duchy decreased as less powerful heirs were born. But Rashid was the most powerful born after many generations and many believed that he had a piece of dragon within him. Rashid was not the heir to duchy, he was 2nd child. Since he was powerful 1st born tried to kill him and his mom and his sister joined hands with 1st born in killing Rashid. But Rashid killed his sis and bro and exiled his mom on an island. That's why he was considered cold blooded and had bad reputation. But emperor did not punished him because he thought he could use Rashid. To keep a check on Rashid emperor married Rashid to Alyssa, a count's daughter. And as a gift he gave maid Laura to serve her. After MC gets healthy, Rashid and MC have dinner. She keeps completing the food then suddenly the text pops up as rashid is thinking that her chattering is like a bird's twittering. She then shuts up. MC tells Laura to deliver a letter personally. After sending Laura aways she asks bulter to send all the letters that had been recieved till now to her. And asks the head maid(Rashid's nanny) to check Laura's room as her jewelleries had gone missing. She finds out that letter exchanged with emperor and Laura were in secret codes. She then plans to attend a ball. She asks nanny for suggestions on attending a ball, after sending Laura from the room. Nanny tells her that if she will not go to any balls then Rashid have to go alone. And there are also rumours about her that she willingly jumped in the river. MC decides to attend a marquis's son coming of age ceremony. She got all pampered for the party. And when it was time for dressing Laura tells her to wear a gown with collars covering her neck. MC tells her to show some other gowns but Laura tells her that she will look good in this. MC lashes out on her and tells her to go out of the room. Then she takes another maid and she chose to wear a purple off shoulder gown. During the ball they greet the organizers and then MC's friend comes to greet her. Her name is with P( I don't remember). P is ML's aunt and belongs to one of the duchy. ML leaves both of them as he don't want to deal with his mom's sis. Then MC asks her to help her greeting other women. She meets other women and then they sarcastically talk to her. Something happens and a text pops out how P is thinking that since MC is of use she would stick around with her. MC is shocked that even P is not her friend. Then there is some info about how P can use black magic. All of them were talking when they see that ML is surrounded by a bunch of girls. They all push MC to go to her husband to shoo away those girls. MC unwillingly goes and then ML asks her what's wrong. She tells him to go to the garden for fresh air. As they were walking she tells him that she wants a divorce. ML asks why? She tells him that they are not made for each other and she isn't fit to be duchess. And she tells him that he also do not want this marriage as he was forced by emperor. ML refuses but MC doesn't budge. When they come back to home MC clearly tells the butler to prepare divorce papers. Ofc ML tells him not to.
This troupe is kinda fun maybe first five storys ive read but man im i tyred of douchbags getting with fl. Day i read she in love with him or she ends up with him im dropping this like a sack
Spoiler Since ML refuses to divorce, MC goes to a church to ask for suggestions. She asks the priest if it was possible to divorce if other person refuses. Then the priest asks her a bunch of ques about ML, if he has done anything bad to her. She refuses. Priest tells her that it will be difficult. When she was returning home, her hat flew away by wind and she picks it up. This was seen by a guy (fernen) who recognise her pink her. MC goes to her paternal house to inform her father about divorce. Her dad was furious and refuses but MC burst out and tells him that she will def divorce him and her has no say in it. Her dad had to comply. There she meets a knight on whom Alyssa may had a crush. He insists on going with her as it was dangerous at night. When she returns to Duke's mansion knight escorts her and ML suddenly ask what are they doing. MC introduces knight to ML but he pay no attention to him. After that ML ask if he was her secret lover. MC tells him that he doesn't need to know. But ML continue asking if she was divorcing because of him but she refuses. She says she has no plans of cheating. MC plans to buy a lot of jewellery and dresses as assessts that will belong to her after her divorce. She goes to a dressing shop and ask for brochure. When she ask for the price of a dress mrs Kruger (owner) hesitates as she thinks that MC would not be able to afford it. Since Alyssa was not an extravagant person and didn't attend a lot of tea ceremonies and parties. But MC tells her from here to here and ask for more brochures. Lol. She also gifts a brouch to her maid. Then she goes off to buy jewelleries. As she was walking in city she notices a lot a crowd and her maid tells her that it was because of display of some monster's horn. MC was confused because there was no mention of monsters in the novel. Then she thinks of learning about this world and goes to the royal library. There she bumps into a man who introduces himself as Fernen and MC tells him to call her Alyssa. He asks if she recognise him she tells him no. He then recommends her some geography books. Then they bid farewell. That night when she was reading geography books ML calls her. MC was surprised but he tells her that he obviously knocked. He glances at books and asks her why she was reading them. Then she recounts him about the horn incident. ML tells her that presence of monsters have increased for sometimes now and tells her that he was on monster subjugation when she fell into the river. She tells him that she didn't need to know that. ML gives her a forehead kiss and then go back. MC keeps thinking about his kiss. Next day she plans on buying some furniture and ask nanny to send a letter to them as she would be visiting them tomorrow. Then she plans on buying a land which has no value so she can lose money. As to degrade her reputation a lil bit. She buys a mine called sun and moon since it was not very profitable. But the seller tells her that legend has that dragon's heart was under that mine. Her reputation was sinking low as an extravagant lady but also rising because the mine had caused the owner a lot of debt. And MC was God to him who helped him out to pay his debts. She then went to buy some furniture and met a countess( might add her name later). Countess was very good in choosing furniture so she helped MC. MC also bought a parrot who speaks fortune and a pumpkin designed brooch for ML. Countess asks her if she have ever went to auction. MC says no but was eager to go. Countess tells her that only invited can go and asks her to join her for the next auction as her friend. MC gives ML his gift. Then there is ML's monologue about how he thought that money can buy happiness but when he had a lot of money all other things became boring. But he was happy to recieve MC gift. That night we get to see that ML always receive a report of MC's whole day entourage. When he married to her first, he was wary of her as she was unfamiliar to her. So he always got a report of MC's actions. At first they were normal and then they became boring. So he didn't paid much attention to them. But lately she had been going out a lot and even bumped into a person in library. MC plans on recruiting a lot a employees. She asks nanny and tells the butler that she will personally interview them. At dinner ML tells her to prepare for a ball that will be hosted by emperor. The day of the ball comes and both go the ball. There ML never leaves MC's side. They dance too. But ML had to go away for buisness so she decided to eat something. When she was alone P greets her. P was with Scarlett who was used to be ML's lover. Scarlett was totally opp to MC as in sexy type. She tells her that she also likes ruby a lot(MC was wearing a ruby necklace given by ML as a return gift for brooch ). MC asks her if she wants it then. She shuts up immediately. Someone calls MC, she recognise him as Fernen. She if he knew her beforehand. The lady and P greets Fernen as crown prince. MC apologize and greets him. Then she ask why didn't her told her that he was cp. Fernen just laugh it out then MC sees that Scarlett was going. MC calls out to her and invites her to her mansion. Fernen tells MC that she is strange. Then suddenly the princess tells Fernen to stop hitting on duchess. They both greet each other. MC recalls that princess was going to die too but cause was not mentioned. And that princess was also ML's previous lover. Princess invites MC for a opera and MC agrees. As they were parting Fernen kisses MC's hand. After that MC goes to break room. But P also comes in and start lecturing that MC shouldn't had embrassed that lady who was with P. MC rebuks and tells her what about my feelings then? Are you even my friend? Why aren't you my side? And then tells her that she don't need this type of friend and goes out of break room. Then she goes to balcony. ML also comes and asks if she is happy with meeting cp. MC asks if he is jealous. He tells her no and start rubbing her hand where cp kissed. Then he tells her that they're not divorced yet. Then a text pops out how Rashid is thinking that MC is just like the butterfly he was used to play with as a kid. MC was scared by this thought. And starts thinking if he crushed her wings or something. MC tells him that not only she has relations with cp but also marquees Scarlett and points to her red ruby. ML tells MC that he will never do any injustice to her. And never cheat on her. He swears on God. MC tells him he don't have to do that. Next day MC goes to the opera show and then later princess invites her to library to read about books on dragon. It had a prediction. When the world will shake. God will betray you. Only we will save you. There she also give MC a novel similar to Romeo and Juliet. Pedro, the prince of Portugal, fell in love with Ines, the princess’s maid. When the queen gave birth to a child and died in a malaise, the king sent an assassin to kill Ines. This was because if Innes became the new queen, succession problems would arise. When Ines died, the tears she shed flowed into the river, becoming a fountain of tears in the villa, and the seaweed stained with her blood grew red. She thinks that since this is a world in novel then how tf they have their own literature as author never mentioned this. But suddenly a monster comes out and starts eating texts of the novel. It was like centipede. Princess scolds the library authority about their lack of management. She apologize to MC. When they were going out ML appears. He tells princess that he came to pick MC. MC tell him about the book monster. ML told her that book monster can defy the strong magic barrier that must be why he was able to enter in library. On the last day of ball everyone was getting purified by priest who were sprinkling holy water on them. When it came for MC and ML, the priest saw a woman with black hair but it disappeared after he blinked. He told the couples that they need to be specially blessed. He led them into a chamber and thinks that if holy water is sprinkled on MC maybe she will show her real face. He thinks that she was a witch. But nothing happens as he pour a lot of water on MC. This is the end of vol.1 There was also a scene of their monthly union after MC gets healthy. When ML comes in her bedroom she refuses and asks him to wait untill she's ready. Next day Laura was confused since nothing happened between them as she looked on the bed sheets. After the first ball MC fires Laura. She reveals all her doings about stealing and spying. Later when she tells ML that Laura was a spy that's why she fired her. ML tells her that he knew she was a spy. MC is also thinking of contacting a guild as to intercept the secret code of letters exchanged between Laura and emperor. At first emperor was trying to marry ML with princess but Fernen was strongly against it. That's why emperor married Alyssa with ML. A count who had no money and power so he can keep Alyssa on check. No news of Priscilla yet. There was also a scene where MC shows off her newly bought parrot to ML before giving him brooch as a gift. She tells him that parrot was expensive. But ML refuses and tells her that 500 isn't that expensive. And she can use more money.
How many previous lovers did the ML actually have? Then doesn't that make the title absolutely unreasonable???
When Alyssa fell into the the river, and she is unconscious for a few days instead of died like the original, if the ML really loves her, it would became a wake up call, he would realized his feelings because he almost lost her, but he never did, he think it doesn't matter even if she dies. So I think in the novel, what he feels isn't really love, it could be guilt or just like what the OP said. And also the novel content isn't very accurate, like how in the novel Patricia is described as OG Alyssa only true friend, but in fact she is a fake, and the novel omit a lot of things too, like the Dragon, Beast and Magic, only focused on the romance of ML and OG FL, so it safe to assume that the novel is written by certain POV and very biased.
Since ML has ex-lovers, did he have chu chu with them other than MC? (If so what a disappointing ML) When he refuses to divorce MC, did he fall inlove that time? What happen when MC meet the Heroine? Need more spoiler!!!
