I received some gifts and congratulation messages. That's it. I think birthday is like any other normal day. (⊙_⊙)?
I can't really avoid them tbh~ I kind of treat them as any normal day but with just more food and people. My family does it every year
Well, not having money for my whole life which meant no birthday parties or gifts as a kid makes me a little jaded to birthday celebrations.
Never had a birthday party due to money limitations in my childhood. Although there were no friends, my family celebrated with good food and a single gift of my choice. Which means good food = good birthday.
Sometimes you just kinda forget your own birthday as you get older, "oh today's my birthday I see".......
I celebrate it with cake and get gifts~ It's a small celebration with my parents and sis though, not a lot of people, and otherwise it is a normal day so yep~
I usually eat a small cake and get a bit of money from my parents, that's about it. Oh, and we sing happy birthday. There's that too.
Yup. I used to even invite people to eat out and stuff after classes or during break time. The family bday celebration usually happens when we all have free time so we can all celebrate the bday together as a whole. It's like a normal day yeah but ig it's pretty nice now and then. I mean every year lol.
Never celebrated it I wasn’t ever told my birthday I only found out when it was when I saw my passport my mum hates my dad and says I look like him so she won’t celebrate it
No. After you're 12, people would call you annoying if you insist on celebrating your birthday. It would be different if someone else suggest to celebrate your birthday though, in which case it's completely within your right to call that person annoying.
Well, that's about how most of my birthdays went. But my family also got cake and cooked a "fancier" meal, so I do that for myself too. Other times, I would go out for drinks or karaoke with close friends, but mostly it was more of an excuse to get together.
Yeah, it's kind of normal. Eats a cake with my family, receives congratulatory messages from friends and only receives gifts from close friends. Luckily, this year can go outside and celebrate unlike last year's lockdown of covid19. My friend's sister celebrated her bday so amazingly. It's my first time seeing someone celebrate bday with so many ppl. Got her parents' colleagues, her sister's friends, relatives, etc. (It's my first time knowing a bday party can be so massive.)
