There is a five years time skip.Cain is currently 12,and Diana is 9.
Cain was supposed to study in their own country, that's what happened in the game.But Cain's dad sent him abroad to make some distance between him and Diana.He is studying in the neighborhood county where one of the capture targets is at.he is the second prince and the only one in the country that can use magic.so in the game he goes to Cain's country for studying,meets the fl and falls in love but he had to marry Diana
But he rejects it and offer the marriage to her older brother who already had a queen and lover.so Diana becomes the unwanted concubine.

 

i haven't read the novel. why is there a romance tag? between whom will the romance happen? since from this spoiler thread i don't pick up any romance from it

 

Up to chapter 180 there isn't any . . . .
But the relationship between ill kun and cain is kinda ambiguous.

In one chapter ill said some stuff about protecting cain with everything he has which is the same lines he said to the fl in the game.

But that's maybe just how I feel

 

I hope we have romance because there are not much novels with male mc pov and romance

So i read until ch 145 and got bored.

The time line is slow, and cain obsession getting worse. And it's feels more like slice of life instead and there is nothing i look up to

I agree with you. The novel has such a slow plot, how is it possible that the first 50 chapters in the novel don't even reach the 10 chapters in the manga, this really makes me frustrated.

Honestly, I prefer to read manga that I don't understand the language of rather than novels that move very slowly.

of course I would be very happy if anyone gave spoilers about the storyline and what happened next.
