Discussion Are men's instincts in bed real

Ok so often in novels I come across stuff like this:
"She is a beginner, as is Xiao Xu.

Even if the two have had close contact before, they are both confused.

However, men have an instinct that is far better than women. In front of the beloved, they have no mastery of the teacher. "

Is this true? They always make it sound like men can get the jist of 'the deed' veery quickly. As a women I know women are also very curious, needy and demanding of it. I know some might exaggerate but till where is it truth and from where does exaggeration begin?
I have never been in a relationship so far and I don't believe in casual relationships. So all this is still locked in the Pandora Box for me.
Experienced people, please clarify.

I never had eny expirience with that stuff. But i think that if it happens to me I most propably wont know shit.

Don’t expect novels to reflect the reality of sex. The first times most men have sex it is quick and awkward. We’re not instinctually better at it than women, and have to be educated on how to please our partners, just like women do.

First times are awkward. There would be a lot of trial and errors, flailing hands and second guessing. So i doubt men's instincts in sex is different from women. That's why you should choose your partner wisely and compatibility is important. You can't just spend your whole life with someone you can't entrust your vulnerable side with.

 

depends on what you mean by instinct. for example if 2 new partners are having sex and it's both their first times, the man will most likely be the one doing the work and he will generally get the job done. in that sense i can see how men are seen with better instincts. As for whether it's good or not is a different story. I know the first time i had sex it was awkward and i kept asking over and over if she liked what i was doing probably annoying the shit out of her but as you get older and more experienced it gets a lot better. Looking back there is no way i can say the virgin me had good instincts as a lover but i knew how to at least get the job done.

for women being needy and demanding it, i can only assume as i am a guy but those women would have prior experience which is why they keep demanding it. even then it wouldn't matter because guys are needy and demand it more so i can't see that as somehow making them instinctually better.

It was just a pure josei novel with no mature content. Basically most of such novel just tell you that they stumble for the first time but very quickly start learning it as they are soo smart and attentive and solve it like a math equation.
I don't read much of smut cause It just feels repetitive and boring and predictable...and it just doesn't charm me.

This is a thing that mostly happens in novels. I'm not trying to say that being a virgin means that that person is bad at sex, but I am saying that in order to be knowledgeable having experience helps. In real life men and women don't have a significant difference in the knowledge that they have about sex for the most part.
I think the reason this is such a common trope is because it's a best of both worlds situation. On one hand it's appealing to think that your sexual experience with your partner is unique and special and that you are the only person they would ever sleep with, on the other hand it's not very romantic to have a first sexual experience that is both awkward and sexually unsatisfying.
So if you have a male lead who has no prior sexual experience and at the same time is amazing in bed you get to have the best of both experiences.
