Resolved What it is called for people without abilities?

So yeah... help me guys, I have been stuck in this one word.

Is there any other words for this 'incompetent' = people that born without innate abilities?

So the story is this mc got transmigrated into the novel then the body he possesed was a villain role without any abilities so later in the future he got killed by the protagonist. In order to survive he need to gather ppl with abilities which is gifted people. And then what about people without abilities ?

Norms or Normie(for normals), unawakened or in one story they were divided into Superior (abilities), reserve (people with potential), and sacrifice (trash with no potential). most of the stories i've read like to use awakened/unawakened or talented/normal.

since the one with ability called gifted why not say the other one ungifted?

Inept, unawakened, unblessed/cursed, ungifted, outcast, forsaken, irregular, anomaly/anomal (though there's no such word) etc.

 

Talentless, cannon fodder, the weak in strong take from/rule/eat the weak, NPCs.......

There's as many labels as fiction.

 

It would depend on the ratio of people with abilities to those without. As well as the outlook of the speaker. If the speaker is an elite ability use he might look down on ppl without abilities and use a more derogatory term. The same could apply if ability users far out way non ability users in number

 

You called people with abilities as gifted people. So, the villain is someone with no apparent gift. As in, he seems to be ordinary with no special ability to protect himself.

It is sad the opposite of gifted usually contains some form on negative connotation or plainly being mundane. If you are talking about cultivation-wise, I find "inert" quite a pleasing way to present people who lack talent.
