Discussion Dear Asians, can you live without rice?

I have been expecting one or two of your post to appear today too..

No. I cannot live without rice. My limit would be around 2 weeks without rice. After that if i don't consume any rice dish, i would lose my appetite for any food.

 

Either rice or bread.

 

Yup I can. Wheat or Rice is equally alright for me so I dont really care if I dont get rice.

 

The road to 100 threads is an arduous path. But even still, with little steps one has to move forward!

I have never tried going on for so long without rice xD. There seems to just always be one available whenever we eat

 

Rice is evil I eat it but end up even more hungry at the end it never fills me up

 

you forgot the part where you can cook and consume it after husking it off

 

Blasphemy, rice has always been in our blood. So even if you don't eat rice, you still have it in your blood!

 

I can live without it~ But I do prefer eating it!

 

yes~ but on this cat country it more practical buy rice for monthly staple food rather than bread or cereal~
cassava, corn, some type of bread, potato, kick out those cereal they are BLASPHEMY!~ meh compare rice combo plus xxxx other stuff can only have meh variation~

 

No rice?!? No way, Rice is a staple food in my culture. Most of our meals are with rice, sometimes, with noodles and buns. I mean we can eat other cultural food, but occasionally.
My favourite food used to be rice; now is sushi. (still the same: rice with raw seafood)

 

I stopped eating plain rice when I came of age. I didn't think that I would regret the decision but I had cravings for months afterwards. Spite is a helluva drug boy.

nope been livin with rice since i was born desuuu~ i'd be like a long time smoker suddenly stopped smoking desu~

 

OMG my childhood memory is filled with cold rice soaked in hot milk with or without cinnamon and sugar....

Really? Each Time I eat sushis, California rolls and the alike I end up bloated because they are filling you up

 

Hahaha even that's pretty normal isn't it my friends laughed at me when i eat the burger steak with rice lol. They tried and they got addicted

Brown rice makes me full better than white rice. But the price also can me regret buying it. Bcs i eat a lot.

Lolll right. Or cook the rice, put the soy sauce and you are saved for the day. My parents can eat cooked rice with only salt. Im not that hardcore, yet.

tho recently, i just fry my own chicken so Jollibee and other fast food stuff are rare at home.

 

I grew up eating rice, breakfast to dinner so Idk. Maybe in a day or so, rice is the most important part of the table for me so for sure I'll desperately looking for rice.
