Sadly nothing much happened between Sei and Al. The journey to the Herbalist territory was uneventful really. - Sei asked the lord (through Al) if she can go to the brewery where potions for the castle was being made. She met the head of the brewery, Corrina(that's the name I remember, i'll correct it later) and was taught new and less ingredients needed potions. - Sei met a new guy, Leo. He was the leader of the mercenaries the lord hired to keep the monsters at bay. He was really huge and cute!!! He also don't like knights and nobles. Thankfully he and Al were fine. - Sei mentioned to Corrina her research for a higher grade hp potion and Corrina said that it used to exist but not anymore. - The territory's fields were apparently blessed by a former saint that was related to the territory's lord. But since it was a long time ago so the blessing was slowly losing its effect. - Corrina let Sei read the diary of the former saint to help her activate her saint power and bless the fields. The former saint was also a great herbalist, hence the territory became known as a herbalist's sanctuary. - Sei went out to the local market with Corrina and saw some type of wheat (can't remember the name). She bought it and turned it to pasta. Pasta and noddles were not a popular dish in the country apparently but available to other country, the lord said to Sei after she served the pasta to everyone in the castle. - Al and Leo's teams went to survey the forest and their teams came back injured. - Sei and Corrina saw Leo's team coming back to the castle injured. Sei ran to heal them. Leo mentioned that the knights' condition were worst than them. - Sei got worried hearing that so she ran to the knights' lodging area and frantically look for Al then accidentally activated her saint powers again for the third time. Al was actually not injured tho. She just overreacted. - Sei was embarrassed by what happened but it helped her put together the clues as to what triggers her saint powers. She came up with the conclusion that her powers worked everytime she thought of Al. - She tested her theory by blessing some pots of herbs and she was right! In order to activate her saint power she needs to think of Al. - Back in the capitol, the grand magnus saw the 2nd squad knights packing things in wagons and asked them where they were going. They said that they will follow Sei and the 3rd squad to the herbalist territory. Grand magnus was happy with the news and went to the mage department to drag some mage. Aira was one of the few mage that was dragged along and they went to the herbalist territory. - Sei, Al and their team went subjugation to the forest. Deep in the forest they got attacked by slimes. Apparently they needed mages to fight the slimes because knights were not effective at killing them. They went back to the castle to request for mage back-ups to the royal palace. -A few days after Al's request was sent, the grand magnus' group arrived to the territory. Al was surprised by how fast they get there but they actually left before hand. - The team went back to the forest for subjugation. They encountered a lot of slimes that burned down the forest. Sei was upset seeing the forest burned down because of the possible rare herbs were now gone. She told the grand magnus that there was no need for him to hold back since the forest was pretty much gone. They saw the monster lake and Sei using the saint power made it disappeared. - The subjugation was a success so there was a celebration. - Sei said her goodbye to everyone in the territory. Corrina promised that she will send herbs and seeds to Sei in the Capitol. - The team went back to the capitol. - Sei was sent to subjugate monsters to other territories afterwards. Three months after they were back to capitol again. - Sei, Aira and Liz were having a tea party and Sei mention how she missed rice. Aira said she missed omelette with sauce. They talked about how difficult it was to make japanese food because of the lack of ingredients. Liz said that those ingredients might not be available in their country but maybe they can find it in other country. She said that she'll asked around for rice and soy sauce. - Sei received the promised herbs and seeds from the herbalist territory. She asked for Director's help with planting the herbs in the garden in the institute. She also made a new cosmetics again (i think it was whitening lotion?). She used her maids as her test subject for the lotion. - The director introduced Sei to a merchant and his assistant for the launch of her new cosmetic products. Her old cosmetics were handled by the director's noble house but because of the popularity they can't handle the new ones. They decided to hire a new company to handle it. Sei will make the products but the company will be in charge of the rest. - They new company opened a new cosmetic store. It was close to both stores for aristocrats and commoners. The cosmetics in the new store were available for everyone not just aristocrats. -Sei observed the store from afar on the opening day and there was a long line of people wanting to buy the cosmetics. - The assistant of the new company mentioned to Sei about the new cafe that offers foreign tea. Sei got curious about it so she and her knight guard went to the cafe. - They ordered the foreign tea, but it turned out to be coffee. Coffee was apparently not available or known in their country and probably mistaken it as tea. - Sei and the guard discussed about different ways to brew coffee that Sei know. She thought of doing drip coffee and bought a bag of beans. That was all i can remember from the top of my head right now. I probably jumbled the events too. I think this covers volume 4 and 5 of the light novel. I'm still waiting for the official english translation of volume 6.
Chapter 74 - Sei asked Director if someone can make her a fannel to brew coffee. After the fannel was delivered, she introduced coffee to the institute. - The director got addicted to the coffee. He drinks it all the time now. Sei reprimanded director about how too much coffee can be bad for his health. - The director mentioned that Jude came from a family of merchant and Sei remembered her conversation with Liz about rice during the tea party. - Sei asked Jude if he heard of rice before. Jude said no and asked to describe it to him so he can asked his household because they might know about it. The director and other researchers joined the conversation. Director suggested to also asked the merchant in charge of Sei's company because he travels a lot and might know. - Sei sent the merchant a letter asking about rice. She received letters both from the merchant and Jude's parents and pointed her to a port city Morgenhafen that received mostly eastern country imports. - Sei told this to director and wonder if she can asked Jude's parents to buy rice for her. Director suggested for her to directly visit the port herself. Chapter 75 - Sei and Jude went to the port city to look for rice. She had to wear a wig and her old glasses as a disguised because her hair and eye color was not usual in the country and attributed to the saint. Her knight guards were also disguised to look like merchants. - Sei and Jude arrived in the inn and met the assistant of her company. He told them that a shipment of grains will arrive tomorrow. Chapter 76 - Early in the morning, Sei and Jude went to the port to look for rice. Sei was fascinated by a lot of things on the port so she got easily distracted, Jude reprimanded her for going on her own. - Sei found coffee, tea, sugar, wheat and other stuff, which were all cheaper here compared to the capital but can't find rice. - As they continued to look around they saw a commotion going on. A man with black hair was making a scene. I think there was a language barrier problem going on? Sei can perfectly understand the guy tho. She interfere and asked what was happening. - The black haired guy's crewmates were injured and needed a mage to heal them. There were few mages in the port city, it was more of a pharmaceutical area the guards said. - Sei thought that she wanted to help but can't do it because it will spread rumors about the saint being in the city and might put them in danger. She gave the guy intermediate potions instead to help them. - Sei and Jude walked away and she said that it was an advance potion (she lied? I can't understand that part well) she kept with her all the time in case of emergency. She mentioned that if the potion won't work the injury needed recovery magic but that all she could do for them. Chapter 77 - Sei and Jude continued to look around after the incident for rice. One of the store owners said that the ship with injured crewmates haven't docked their imports yet. They might need to comeback tomorrow. - Sei and Jude went back to their inn. The next morning the guy she helped out was looking for her in the inn. The guy was look for her since yesterday because his crewmates leg was healed by the expensive and effective potion Sei gave to him. The injured guy might need leg amputation if she didn't gave them the potion. - The guy insisted on paying Sei's potion, but she didn't know the price since it was not available in the market and it was just an excess supply in the institute anyway (basically she made too much potion again). - The assistant merchant suggested to let Sei looked at their imports and gave them a cheaper price as payment. - Sei and company went to the warehouse where the imports were located. Most of the products were different kind of wheat popular to the country. - Sei asked if they have any special products. The captain said that they do but only small quantities because they were not popular in the area. - They went to the corner of the warehouse and Sei saw a lot of japanese and chinese spices. She was sure that they probably have rice too! She asked if they have rice and the captain said they do and asked if she know about it. - Sei wasn't able to contain her happiness seeing rice. She screamed, "RICE!". It surprised everyone. - Sei bought a lot of rice and spices. She wonder when will she be able to buy it again. The assistant offered a business deal with the captain to supply rice and spices for Sei. - A boy around the same age as Liz offered hot soup to them since it was cold in the warehouse. The boy was the one who needed the potion and thanked Sei for saving him otherwise his legs might got amputated by now. - Sei and Jude ate the soup. Jude commented about the unique taste of the soup. The boy said it was a staple soup in his hometown. It was miso soup! Sei got nostalgic eating miso soup. It was not as good as the one back in Japan but she was happy to get to eat miso soup again!
I put together these two chapters. It was called behind the scene chapters. Basically they are POVs of different characters, not written in Sei's usual POV. Part I The merchant and assistant that helped Sei set up her company were actually members of the Special Affairs Division set up by the king. The assistant met with the king and chancellor to talked about the meeting with Sei. All of the members of Sei's company were members of Special Affairs and former palace staff. The reason why the palace started to take over Sei's company was because of the Director's report about aristocrats circling around the company, wanting to profit out of it. This way no one would want to touch the company with the same status as the king. The assistant came back to the office of the merchant and hand over the documents from the palace. The merchant hand over the evidence of aristocrats trying to profit over the company to his assistant. Part II Al went to Director's office to talked to him. They talked about the transfer of the cosmetics company handled by Director's household to the palace. Their talk eventually go to Sei's marriage in the future. Now that the aristocrats can't go after the company because of the king's involvement, they will target Sei directly through marriage. The two were aware how dense Sei can be about romance and how workaholic she is. They both concluded that marriage was not Sei's top priority right now. However, many will aristocrats especially second and third sons that will make a move for sure. Director teased Al that if he won't make a move he might. Al was surprised and frowned at his best friend's bad joke. Al replied to Director but it was not mentioned what he said. Maybe he will actually confessed now? ♀️♀️♀️ Chapter 78 - Sei was able to get almost all the ingredients she wanted from the captain and now left with a lot of free time. She and Jude was supposed to stay for a few days in the port city to look for ingredients. - Sei wanted to try cooking her new ingredients but Jude pointed out that it will be difficult because of lack of kitchen. However, the captain came back to their inn and asked Sei about cooking. - The captain asked Sei to eat in their inn because their ship's cook will prepare chinese food. Sei was excited by the offer because she missed eastern food. They talked about when to hold the dinner party since Sei's group was huge and the captain might need some time to prepare. The captain said they can have dinner together tonight because they were a huge group as well and have everything ready. - Sei and her group arrived earlier to the inn where the party will be held because she wanted to help in the kitchen. After arriving, she directly led to the kitchen and introduced to the cook. She said that she was interested learning how to cook foreign food. - Sei and Jude were in the kitchen observing the cooks. Jude noticed the bamboo steamers in the corner and asked about it. The cook explained in different language what the steamer was while Sei translate it. Steaming the food was not a cooking method used in their country so Jude was curious about it. - The cook said that he will be steaming baozi and explain what it was. Sei was surprised that it exist in this world. The cook continued to explain the different kitchen utensils and ingredients from their country to Sei and Jude that was new to them. Chapter 79 -Sei, Jude and the assistant sat on the same table as the captain. They feasted on the new dishes while talking about food and medicinal herbs. They compared them to each other's country. - The captain called the ship's doctor to join their discussion. The high grade potion became the topic of discussion and Sei said it was just given to her, she was still trying to hide her identity. The assistant took over talking about the potion and Sei was relieved by it. - The discussion about the potion eventually changed to the sailor's life on board. They talked about how terrible the food in the ship because they can't take anything perishable with them. They asked Sei, Jude and the assistant if they know other ways to preserve food. - Sei was deep in thoughts thinking about it and she was asked by one of the captain's sailor. She said that she might know something but she never made them before so she was not confident with how it will turn out. The captain encourage her to try anyway. Sei said she will look for the ingredients tomorrow since it was easy to make anyway. Chapter 80 - The next morning Sei and Jude went to the market to buy cabbage and other ingredients she needed. (I forgot what preserved food she was supposed to make here. It was mainly made of cabbage tho). - After buying the ingredients, they headed to the captain's inn. She instructed the cooks how to make the preserved food. She also taught them how to sterilized the barrel where the food will be stored. She mentioned that she taught the institute the same thing before. - The cabbage was salted then put in the barrel for it to ferment for a few weeks. - After making a fermented cabbage, they took a break. The captain asked if the cabbage was a staple food of the country. Sei said that it was not. She only read about it in a book before. The captain mentioned that he enjoy reading too and she got worried that her excuse might not work. The captain didn't press further tho and she was relieved. - Afterwards, Sei was excited to go back to the capital so she can try cooking rice and miso soup and take it with her during subjugation! Chapter 81 - Sei and her group came back to the royal capital and immediately spent her time coming her new ingredients. She was worried about the rice at first since she used rice cooker to cook rice in Japan and only experienced cooking it in pots twice. (Does other people find it difficult to cook rice in pots? Isn't it pretty much the same as cooking it in rice cooker? I didn't know this. I was like, gurl you just need to wait for it to boil? After that remove the lid and let the water evaporate. What are you worried about? It's just rice! Oh well!) - The director went to the kitchen to observe Sei's cooking but she said that it might take a while to cook. The director said he will come back later then went back to work. - Everyone was watching the pot of rice to cook and even the director came back to the kitchen to watch. - After cooking the rice, she cooked miso soup next. Jude asked if it was the same as the soup they had in the warehouse. Sei said that was a simplified version. ( The soup they had was just miso dissolved into the water) The one Sei will make was made of fish broth and other ingredients. - Sei checked the rice and said it was a little soft but a success nonetheless. She served the rice and miso soup to everyone in the cafeteria afterwards. - Jude commented that Sei's miso soup was different from the one they had before. She explained the difference to Jude. He asked if it was possible to just dissolved the miso to broth and how it would taste like. Sei said he can try to make it. - The director noted that the rice and miso soup had an increase of maximum hp effect. Sei wanted to conduct a research about it but worried that the rice and miso she bought might not be enough for research.
Chapter 82 - Sei went to Aira's dorm in the mage division to have lunch with her. She brought the rice and miso soup she cooked. Aira was grateful to get to eat japanese food again thanks to Sei. - Sei asked Aira to come to the institute tomorrow because she was planning to make sushi. Although she warned Aira that it might taste different because the vinegar she will use was not made of rice like in Japan. Aira said it was fine as long as she can eat japanese food again. - The next day, Sei and Aira was eating miso soup and sushi (I forgot the kind of sushi they ate) in the institute. Aira reminisced the time her mom bought this kind of sushi back when she was in elementary school. Sei also remembered her grandmother making it when she was younger. Sei got sad and teared up a little when she remembered it. - After eating together Aira went back to the made division with pound cakes baked by Sei. - The next day, Aira was dragged by the grand magnus to the institute. Grand magnus said that he noticed something different to Aira's magic power during her practice yesterday. He asked Aira what happened and she told him that she just had lunched with Sei. - Sei thought that it confirmed her theory about the effects of miso and/or rice. She told them to wait for her a little in the drawing room while she asked for permission from the director to conduct a research about this. - Sei went to Director's office and asked for permission to research abou the effects of miso and rice on magic. The director said that the grand magnus had a great eye for details when it comes to magic so he will be perfect help for the research. Sei agreed although she was worried about the supply of rice and miso she got because she wanted to keep it for her and Aira to eat. - Director agreed to the research. Sei went back to the drawing room to tell them that they got the permission. Sei asked Aira to talk to intelligent glasses (Al's brother? LOL! That's what they call him!!!) for permission to do the research. (Basically, she doesn't trust the grand magnus to tell him about it!). Aira agreed happily! Chapter 83 - The grand magnus, intelligent glasses (Al's brother, she really called him that, huh?) and other three top mages of the mage division arrived in the institute three days after the discussion Sei and the grand magnus had. - Sei decided to serve sushi rice as the first part of the research. She warned them that it might taste a bit sour because of the vinegar. The mages liked the unique taste and asked Sei about the rice. - After they finished eating Sei asked them to check their status screen if there was any changes. They said that there was none. However, the grand magnus ran outside the institute and released a high water polo. Intelligent glasses ran after the grand magnus and dragged him to the mage division training ground to continue the testing. - The grand magnus confirmed that the attacked power increased after eating the rice sushi. Intelligent glasses tried using ice arrows to the target range. Everyone was in awe of seeing intelligent glasses used magic. Intelligent glasses confirmed as well that the rice sushi not only increased power but also increased accuracy since all the ice arrows hit bull's-eye. - The grand magnus told the other three mages to tested out their magic as well. They also confirmed that their attack power increased. - The grand magnus asked Sei if it was possible to eat rice everyday. Sei said that right now it was not because of the limited supply but she was planning to import it regularly so she can eat rice at least once a day since it was a staple food in Japan. - The grand magnus said that he will eat in the institute everyday for the rice once it became regular on the menu. - Sei thought about charging the grand magnus a meal fee if he really end up eating everyday in the institute. She didn't answered him but simply smiled. Behind the scene chapter... Ship Captain POV - The captain's crew accidentally dropped the cargo while unloading it on the dock, which leads to injury of some crewmates. The worst injury was the teenage boy leg. He went around town buying the potions for the injured, but the boy's injury didn't heal. Thus, he went to look for a mage instead. - While looking for a mage he encountered Sei and her group. She gave him a potion that looked like an intermediate potion but a little darker. He was skeptical about it because he already bought potions and it didn't work but he didn't want to look ungrateful for her help so he took it. He went back to his inn and gave the boy the potion and to everyone's surprised the boy's injury healed. He concluded that the potion must have been an advanced potion. He wonder how can Sei have such a high grade potion since high ranking officials and royal family can only have them. - He and his crew started looking for Sei everywhere to thank her for the potion and eventually found her in her inn. He thanked her for the help and asked about the origin of the potion. The assistant told him that Sei's parents gave the potion to her for emergency purposes. - The Captain decided to look for information about Sei and her household because of the high grade potion. After all his home country was looking for a great potion maker. - However, he misunderstood the situation. He thought that Sei was a daughter of a wealthy merchant. Thus, he find it difficult to get information about Sei. Chapter 84 - Sei was in the laboratory like usual when the director calles for her to his office. She entered the office and noticed a messenger. - The director told Sei that the unveiling of the Saint will be held soon along with the royal ball. It will be held on the start of social season. - Sei asked if it was really necessary and the director affirmed that it is important since almost all of aristocrats will be attending this time after many years. The director said that over the years some aristocrats weren't able to come to the capital because of the monsters. But now that Sei purify the black swamps, the number of monsters in the country decreased and the aristocrats can now travel freely for the social season. - Sei said she doesn't want the attention and will be a wall flower during the ball. The director said that will be impossible but he will stay next to her then teased her that maybe Al will be a better shield that him. Sei blushed and remember Al's offer as her escort to balls before. - The next day, Sei delivered potions to the 3rd knights and went to asked Al if his offer to be her escort was still open. Al said yes and that he will picked her up in her palace. - On the day of the unveiling, Sei's maid informed her that she will dressed up for the unveiling and later for the ball tonight. She was already tired just be the thought of dressing up twice in one day. - Al showed up in her room after she finished getting ready. He took a bunch of her hair, kissing it and said that he was looking forward to seeing how she would look tonight with a grin. Sei's heart was beating so fast from Al's action.
Sooooo like... The ending of the crown prince and Elizabeth? Lol I'm more interested in them than the whole plot

Is she going to end up with the captain? I saw someone post that she ends up with a demon lord? I'm really rooting for the captain!!
My first though is did Nia96 mixed up this story and another summoned saint/healer story where the MC did end up with a Demon Lord My theory is Aria was chaff meant to protect Sei from the prince. That or he was "assisting" the ritual so it saw 2 sets of requirements and grabbed someone meeting both. The saint qualifications and someone matching his desires of what the saint should be like.
