You hide your soul again, for a glimpse in the past can be very to a glimpse of the soul in the future. Meaning, close yourself off from them and with time you change or grow. Your soul would then have taken on a very different form. You may even need to reforge it to look very different.

So y'know the phrase "strangers with memories" it basically implies that. Though it definitely depends on the situation but most times when we part from different people it's not like we even want it to happen but more like it just happens. We just go poof "let's pretend to not exist in each other's life" which well just goes to prove that it's never too late to leave another's life just like how it's never too late to be part of another's life.
I think there is a very real difference between becoming distant and becoming strangers. I'm pretty distant to my two exes for example, but that doesn't make us strangers... I just don't talk to them daily anymore, nor know about their personal lives, just like how they don't know about mine. Still, I know them, and we're still in friendly terms... And even if we weren't in friendly terms, we'd still know each other regardless.
