I was reading a manga once and the mc was a teenager and he was drawn with a natural blush on his face but everyone in the comments section would be a homophobic arsehole and always complain about it saying it was gay for him to blush and they didn’t come here for this gay shit and stuff like that all the time it was annoying and stupid they should just drop the manga then instead of always complaining in your opinion is it okay to have a male mc that blushes?

 

In my opinion, there are often telltale signs of fetishization of male characters (esp. in the yaoi artstyle, which is quite distinctive), chiefly in manga geared towards women, and frequent blushing can be (not always) one of those signs. But if those signs become too obvious to ignore, I'm liable to drop them.

 

Huh, instead of demanding them to stop reading the manga why don't you just stop reading their comments, it's easier

I check the comments for useful information on the manga sometimes the site I use has missing pages so I check the comments to see if they are missing and someone has a link to a site with all the pages to a chapter

 

You can maybe block it out mentally~ Those crappy comments will always be there no matter if there is anything remotely negative in the story. I agree that they should just drop it though. But then again, those people would most likely not have anything better to do.

Oh yeah, I do think it's okay to have natural blush. It's cute and it should depend on the art style of the author.

Were you reading it from websites like [redacted] or something, cause they tend to have quite a toxic community, well not all of em', but like, they're most likely people who're active on p*rn hub or 9gag's NSWF section.

 

Yeah I like reading the manga all on one page most sites trim the long panels into sort ones and it gets annoying
