Is it cute/amusing or kinda mean for scaring the baby?

 

I’d do it if the baby wasn’t scared of it . It’s kinda cute except for the fact the baby is crying .

Baby's crying could have nothing to do with the shark.

 

If you were asleep and woke up to a shark eating you wouldn’t you cry?

 

My only complaint is that there seems no place for a mobile. If a baby have never seen any scary movies, He cannot know this shark is supposed to be scary. There is no reason to believe the crying is due to the scare factor.
Babies cry, even if you put rainbows and unicorns around him. It is unfair to say this is any different than a regular crib in terms of functionality.

Regardless of whether the baby is crying about the shark or about something else, this seems like making a joke, and possibly at the expense of the baby.

If the shark is distressing them, the baby will likely not forget about this easily.

Could just be crying because the "bed" is tilted at an annoying angle.

Nah, this is much worse. It's tilted for some reason so it's probably not comfortable and there's little railing to stop the baby from falling out. Looks more like an art piece that they put a pillow in for the picture.
