Forgotten Title Novel where MC gets sent back in time 10 years or so and starts studying hard against a girl rival

I remember reading a novel like this and I wanna read it again. The plot was something like a college student(? Don't remember) gets sent back in time to elementary school. He does well in school since he has the mind of an adult and gets into a rivalry with the smartest girls in class.
Over the years they become friends and rivals, but later on he starts studying harder because he realizes that he keeps losing. He wasn't a genius, it's just that he had memories from the future.

In the end, he makes a project for something and pours his heart and soul out as an ultimatum to beat his rival but in the end, still loses. And his project didn't even make it in the preliminaries or something. He gets together with the girl in the end.
The novel is pretty short iirc
