How about trying "SSS class suicide hunter". Its made me tear up a couple of times.

Honestly? Crying while reading sad stuff happens to me so often that I hardly remember which stories did it and which ones did not.

First one that comes to mind is the Angel Beats anime I guess.

I also cried while re-reading an old story of mine recently I guess...

And then uhn... I dunno? I think I must have cried reading Useless Princesses recently too, possibly in Your Majesty Please Spare Me This Time as well... And uhn...

Geez, there are just too many possible candidates I can point to, I just don't remember which ones did and did not make me cry anymore... >.>

 

That's the novel that made me turn from Chinese xianxias to Korean ones. Only the title of the novel is misleading, but the plot and characters are great!!!!

 

Yeah, the way the author is writing it is really amazing, i'm just piling up chapters now

I so rarely cry while reading or watching anything, so this is a hard one...

Hm... I think the closest a LN or WN has gotten me to cry is A Lollypop and a Bullet. To this day, I still tear up a bit while reading the ending bits. Can't really think of any other LN/WN that has come even remotely close.

As for webtoons... This Witch of Mine might have made me tear up? I don't actually remember. It's a very, very good tragedy, but I can't recall if I actually cried now. I definitely don't cry when I'm rereading it, but that jolt of pain is still very sweet.

As for anything else in recent memory... I remember sobbing through the entire second half of Fafner in the Azure (the first season, second season was all right, but not as cry-worthy) even when nothing bad happens. I even cried through the entire freaking beach episode, since I just wanted so badly for these kids to be happy all the time! I don't think I've ever cried as much for an anime before or since. (And, yes, I have watched all of Key's oeuvre -- they're so obviously cry-traps that my eyes remain dry throughout.)

Funnily enough, I'm a huge crybaby when it comes to real life events, whether it be the news or a sad nonfictional book or a personal argument. Fiction just doesn't do it for me in the crying department, I guess.

I just rememered it perchance~

 

Novel: Three Days of Happiness - I don't even know why I cried from this, to be honest. It was just very bittersweet.

Anime: Violet Evergarden

 

It doesn't matter if you live for a hundred years if you don't enjoy it at all. If you want, you can get it in just three days.
I truly recommend this novel to anyone.
