I can already hear you guys say, "IT WAS AMAZING'' or "IT WAS A MASTERPIECE" and I can't really blame you because it really was a masterpiece. personal opinion: it was my first novel so it has a special place in my heart. I watched its anime, drama and 2 or 3 chapters of manga and they were good too... aside from that... I'm not really a person who can think a detailed explanation so... but I can definitely say that mc and ml were in true love and it was super sweet, the mystery part was also equally great. so tell me what you guys think, unlike me you can explain it in detail if you want thank you.
I got bored of it and took a year break from it the hype got me back it was sad but I dont love it as much as I do for tgcf either way, I havent been following up with either stories after completing it once so I've forgotten part of my love for it
When I ran out of novels to read a couple years back I decided to give yaoi/shounen ai a try since many were highly rated even if it wasn't something I was interested in. Founder of Diabolism was the only one I thought could stand on its own without catering to the yaoi stuff.
Hmm honestly it was my first cnovel so I didn't really know what to expect, but Heaven Official's Blessing is MUCH better in my opinion. I thought the character development in MDZS was very.. um.. abrupt and uncharacteristic/unexplained. Specifically regarding LWJ in the extras -____- anyways yeah, in all cases I'd recommend TCGF/Heaven Official's Blessing instead.
I could never really get into it, the premise of the story was ok, but the characters never really managed to hook me into wanting to see how it goes. Which means I can't really judge the story as a whole either.
Hahaha... Mo Dao Zu Shi has been recommended to me by my friend over and over again, but I refuse to read it. Cause I read the webtoon at first, and I'm not really familiar with ghost and daoism before. So, when I see those pathetic looking zombies being pasted by yellow papers I got turned off. So when my friend recommended me the novel, I refused to read it no matter what. It was when...*drum roll* the drama came. I've been reading Chinese novel for a year and half by then... That day, I was bored and decided to watched something on Netflix. There I saw in trending something something, the picture and trailer of Untamed. Well, I finished it's 50+ episode for three days straight. I don't know that it was Mo Dao Zu shi. I was thrilled to watched bl in real person. I even searched it's ending before i even watched the last eps. Do Lan Zhan and Wei Ying get together? I was disappointed when they just parted ways in the drama. But I was excited to see that it was originally based from a novel. So, there it is... I got addicted to it. Because they really true love! Hahaha...Lan Zhan Lan Zhan is really the best!
It was a good novel, but not that great. Some of its chapters were long with many things I couldn't understand. Likes demonic cultivation, sects facts, etc. So I skipped many chapters and just finished reading.
Mmmm I've read it, and yes, I've shamelessly written a lot of fanfiction for it, but my top favourite from the author is still SVSSS. I've read that three times, and TGCF twice. It's definitely a good series, though, I'll give you that. Just not something I'd reread.... maybe it's because I'm not a very big fan of WWX.... yeah, come smite me already LOL
It’s definitely popular for a reason. However, I thought that a lot of the characters were somewhat rigid and shallow… It’s not my favorite novel, but it’s not bad either. I liked TGCF and SVSSS much better. Edit: Spoiler: Disclaimer some of the fanfic ruined it for me, since it really emphasized the shallow character building. I get that it’s different in fan-made works but still… made it hard to get into it. On the other hand, there are some really good writers out there, so keep it up!
