I forgot. Wasn't it like 5-6 years ago already? I didn't manage to make friends in that account. A purely troll account. This account was the one you managed to meet not the old one (not that I remember).
Sneaky/Bored/Manipulative NUFfian makes a pointless poll. Avg. NUFfians: *spend days and weeks debating about it* Sneaky/Bored/Manipulative NUFfian creates a pointless perpetual game (*Bunny Farm simulation*). Avg. NUFfians: *spends years playing it*
And Reverend Insanity wasn't really good in my opinion either.... Guess everyone has their own tastes
hm I guess so........ Tbh I like lord of the mysteries more.... But that's only for cn novels..... Among all novels I've read till now (cn ,kr and originals) Mother of learning is the best one... And my second favorite is super minion (RR)
I liked both Mother of Learning and Lord of the Mysteries. Haven't read Super minion though even though it was one of the top ones on RR for quite a while...
Super minion is fun and it's the first time I'm feeling sad that a novel is on hiatus.... Btw I've heard about this novel for a long time but haven't read it yet... So is it good??? Like, is it like usual cn novel filled with mindless mobs?? And does it have harem or romance???
Nope. No mindless mobs. Proper storyline that makes sense, has foreshadowing for the overall plot. The romance is also fairly well done and no harem either (There's not too much of a focus on it). I thought you read it when you said you thought it wasn't that great.... It was the first Chinese novel I read and that was back when it was just translated.
You have to understand that CN martial art novels are kinda novelty for reader back then who always read JP, Coiling Dragon offered something different but nowadays CN has taken root in web novel community so story style like Coiling Dragon is not rare anymore and people alreasy fed up with CN. It does have romance as subplot.
This actually might be true. I still like it quite a bit because it seems like the original one that started it all to me, but I have to say that there's still very few novels that come close to the overall quality of Coiling dragon in my opinion. Both the story and the translation are really well done.
To be fair, story goes where it wants... It was mostly translation that elevated it to heights it reached in our hearts.
Nah I don't know how to play that. Ah can ya'll also explain what 'necro' is as a reason for deleting comments. I got that today.
I have to disagree with that assessment. Yes, cultivation novels are a dime a dozen now, but they are mostly filler-filled repetitive crap that just mindlessly run through a checklist of all possible tropes. Again, Coiling Dragon seems unoriginal only because IET recycles his own plots. But Coiling Dragon actually avoids a lot of cultivation cliches, including harem and long, forced separations. Simplicity is where CD shines, and though at times, it may make it seem slightly immature, but it is a small price to play to avoid the needlessly convoluted cultivation plots. How many cultivation novels nowadays end in 800 chs.? Consequently, I'll also admit that CD did go a bit downhill in the second half and seemed rushed towards the end. But the protag being likeable, determined and single-minded while not being a Gary Stu, a hypocrite, a nosey idiot or irredeemably evil and the world-building being great and the cultivation system innovative and well-thought out and the translation good were why CD is still remains one of my favorites even tho I have waded very deep into the waters of CN. Seconded.
